Nationwide Student Aid Reviews

If you ask them if they are a scam, they would say "we would not be able to do what we do if we were not a legitimate, ethical, and honest firm." However, this firm is anything BUT ethical.

Nationwide Student Aid will charge about $350-$950 to people who already owes student loans. They state they will help you get on track with your student loans. However, all they do is talk to your lenders to put you in a government repayment program. They pitch two programs the most: Income Base Repayment Program (IBR) or Income Contingent Repayment (ICR). If you owe students loans, I suggest to NOT call this company for help, but to call your lenders and tell them you want to be put on an IBR or ICR program. YOU CAN DO IT ON YOUR OWN EASILY! The IBR is good for people who are current with their student loans, and ICR if you are behind or in default. For more info, please visit: https://studentaid.ed.gov/repay-loans/ . That advice alone will save you $350-$950 that Nationwide Student Aid will charge you.

Please note that Nationwide Student Aid is NOT a bank nor is it the Department of Education or any public sector. All their sales/phone reps are 100% commission and will try to get any type of payment for the advice I gave above. They will also ask for your Social Security Number. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR SSN!! For not being a bank or part of the government, they have no business in getting it. They will use it to log into the Department of Education's website to see your loans. The higher the loans you have, the higher they will charge you (They will use what they see on the DOE's site on their sales pitch). Your ssn will be stored in their database for their employees to see. If you have done business with this company or gave your ssn to this company, I highly suggest to watch your credit for several years.
