Nava Dental Care Reviews

  • May 8, 2015

We met the nava dental team on April 14, 2015. This was our first visit to get a consultation for my father. Our appointment was scheduled for 2.00 and we were kept waiting till 3.15. After the consultation with Dr. Nava. We decided to pursue a top regular denture and bottom all on 4 denture implants + 5 extractions. We were given a quote of $11,500. We decided to return on April 20th and get the services started. They asked to give them a holding deposit of $1000.00 and the rest to be paid after the services. We paid $500 in cash and $500 using my creditcard. When asked about refund policy, Andy and Daniel who are the office managers told us they would refund the money without a question should we change our mind. After coming back to phoenix we were reviewing the quote they gave us and the pricesheet they had sent to us prior to our appointment and the numbers did not match up. As per the price sheet this is what it should cost us: top denture:$500; 5 extractions : 500 (100 each); 4 implants: $4000 (1000 pc) ; temporary denture $500; .

Sedation:$500; bridge for All on 4 : $2500. This totals to : $8500.00.

I called for more clarification and Daniel told me that the actual cost for all on 4 is 19k but they were giving us a great deal for doing all of it for 11500. He did not answer my question about why did the numbers not match. He then told me that there would be crowns placed after extractions and that is $600pc. ( I chked with 4 different dentists in phx and 2 in los algadones and they all told me that there was no need for crowns.) So I confronted Daniel and he changed his story saying crowns were not needed so I told him then y do the numbers not match up. His simple answer to me was we may have to place maybe couple more implants but we will not charge u for that this will be all inclusive. Worst case to add $2k to 8500 would still be $10500. When asked if the extra 2 implants are not required would they give me a 2k back and he said no. After all the conflicting info we decided to cancel our appnt and ask for a refund on april 17th. Daniel told me he will refund us $900 back (100 was consultation charges and I was okay with it.) I was told I will get the refund back in2-3 days.

Its May 7 today and I have still not seen any money back. I have called every single week following up and have had no luck. Some of the excuses given to me by both andy and daniel have been: we are too busy; the bank is another town and we have to go and deposit so will take time; money is here in the envelope we will deposit it "soon". I am very glad I did not get my dental work from them. I feel the nava dental team has been very unprofessional and dishonest and they clearly have no intention to return the money they said they would. If anyone has any doubt please feel free to email me and I will share their last email to me saying they were in the process of sending me the money and this was 2 weeks ago.

If you are thinking about going to Mexico for Dental Services, please read the following;

I went to check the Dentists in Algodones Mexico because I had heard that their services were very good and inexpensive compared to U.S. costs. I visited with Dr. Ernesto Nava Rivas in his office at Flamingo's Plaza in Algodones Mexico. I took and paid for a Cat Scan of my jaw and took it to them with my visit. They did an estimate (they said would be free of charge) and concluded that I needed an extensive amount of work, I agreed to proceed with the work the nest business day, then Dr. Nava said he was going in Vacation and would like to re-schedule the work after his return because he did not want to "rush" the work. I said fine and they insisted on a large deposit which I foolishly paid them, I called them within 24 hrs because I did not feel comfortable and felt they may be fraudulent rushing me with the payment. They told me that a refund would not be an issue, I informed them that I wanted a refund since I would not be able to return for more than 3 months so I would pay then. I received a letter from Dr. Nava saying that half of my deposit would be applied towards Mexican taxes and other fees.

Dr. Nava had done nothing but provide me with an estimate, no work was performed, and the lies in the letter Im adressing with the Mexican Dental association because I did not want to hurt any legitimate Dentist (which there are quite a few) however this Dentist has proven he is not a legitimate operation and is clearly a fraud...........Stay Away !!!!
