When booking a trip to Kauai through Outrigger, I decided to add airfare to the package. The third party that handles the airfare portion is neattravel. I booked the airfare and then was given the opportunity to select the seats on the outbound and inbound flights. I selected the seats and was then sent a confirmation with the seat assignments. There is a small note on the confirmation stating that "Seat requests are not guaranteed. I didn't receive anything telling me that my seat request was denied or altered so I assumed that I was given the seats as requested. We are leaving in a month so I thought that I would check flight status etc. I found out that not only do I not have the seats requested, I don't have any seats at all and will be assigned seats upon arrival at the airport. I am guessing that my family will be scattered around the plane on the inbound and outbound flights. Not the way I want to start a vacation. Due to Outriggers inability to do anything about this problem, this may be my last Outrigger trip.
If you are booking a stay at an Outrigger property, do not book your airfare through Outrigger! Especially if you are a family with children.
I was booking vacation travel through orbitz and when I added a vehicle to my flight i was switched from Orbitz to Neat Travel unbeknownst to me until payment information was to be entered. Weeks later payment information appearred on my credit card statement for the flight as expected; however, I also got payment information for the vehicle which two months before the travel was to start. Six weeks prior to departure I attempted to change my vehicle from a 15 passenger van to a 5 passenger sedan and was refused by both "Neat Travel" and the car company. This was not a cancellartion. It was a change in the vehicle six weeks prior to the beginning of the rental. In my decades of travel this is unheard of. I would never have reserved a vehicle that could not be changed if I had known. The first scam is Orbitz switch my booking to a third party. The second scam was the shenanigans "Neat Travel" pulled with the car rental terms.
