Sara was an underperforming Store Manager at Ladera Center Starbucks. When she was a Store Manager, a group of 8 store managers were assigned to go to her store to CLEAN IT before senior leaders from Seattle went to visit her store because she was not effective as a store manager in running her own store without the help and support of her peers. Sara did not even thank her peers, and if it would have been me, I would have been extremely embarrassed that other members of my team would have had to come to my store to clean it. How embarrassing! Sara Kershaw had many problems relating to the staff and customers in the predominatley African American community, and was constantly under fire from the customers as well as the partner team because of her unprofessional demeanor and conduct.

Sara was also an underperforming District Manager with Retail Starbucks stores in the Hawthorne, Carson, Dominguez area and the South Bay area.

Sara did not build relationships with her managers, she did not included managers that she did not like in planning meetings, she did not allow managers she did not like to support in pillar roles within our team, plan training events, and participate as members of the team. Sara Kershaw is also very insecure and could not handle disagreement, questioning, or challenging, as well as anyone elses shared perspectives from members of her team. Sara Kershaw micro managed every manager and subordinate on the team and did not allow managers to effectively complete their job, grow within their own posiitons, and allow for creative nurturing in their own positions. Sara used fear, manipulation, scare tactics, has lied, and went out of her way to fire top performing Starbucks managers and partners for simply not agreeing with her positions, and for not essentially just following her direction for Starbucks, which wasn't aligned with Starbucks direction for Starbucks.

In my case, my unemployment case was SO COMPELLING that the California Administrative Law Judge, was clearly upset, baffled, and publicly chastised Sara Kershaw and the Starbucks unemployment rep from Sacramento that arrived to hep Sara. On point after point, the Administrative Law Judge struck down Sara and scolded her for her unprofessional conduct in the workplace.(Please contact me for the public meeting minutes) I won my hearing with flying colors, and Sara Kershaw was made an example of during the hearing. Sara falsly developed a performance improvement plan(Which is Starbucks way of pushing you out legally, not meant in any way shape or form to improve someone's performance) when I was THE TOP performing leader on her team in terms of sales, profitability, and metrics. Sara manipulated, lied, mistreated, and used fear to communicate with me, and many other members of my team and our team. Other team members were scared for their jobs, if they dare say anything, and anyone who complained was fired.

Now that Sara Kershaw has been reassigned and moved from Retail Stores to Licensed stores and no longer leading the team, the team is happy, growing, and no longer feeling a sense of fear due to her unethical, immoral, and unprofessional business practices.

Unfortunately, part of the reason that Sara is the monster that she is, is that Starbucks does not have an acceptable or even fair training program for multi unit managers, and above. Starbucks often takes managers and places them in the multi unit supervisory role when that individual has never had multi unit experience. In addition, many of the individuals training new multi unit managers are not qualified to hold that postion themselves. Thus, you all see that Starbucks is CONSTANTLY and I mean DAILY recruiting District Managers and Store Managers all throughout the country. They promote unqualified people like Sara Kershaw, just because she looked wholesome enough to Starbucks leadership. The cost of her failed leadership is an unquantifiable amount of lost profitabilty for the Starbucks Coffee Company.

Any future employers beware of Sara Kershaw. She is not qualified as a multi unit leader, or even at the store level. She needs extensive management and leadership training, and she needs extensive conflict resolution training, as well as working with others.

I signed up as a brand partner for nerium through another brand partner with a 30 day money back guarantee. I paid $275 for a kit day and night cream and some cellulite cream. I wanted to try the product before trying to sell to others. I used it for a couple days and had a reaction to it. I called nerium and they told me because I signed on as a brand partner I could not get any of my money back. Load of crap very deceptive. This Company Is a scam all they want is to try to force people into buying their crappy company and will lie and cheat just to make a buck.

I was told this when I sign up for Nerium , Let me tell you about an incredible ground-level business opportunity," and you are invited to a house for "a discussion." Funny enough, you feel sick in your gut that there is some hidden agenda or deception. "Probably a multi-level marketing (MLM) organization," you think. And it was just that an MLM scam and I fell for it by a good salesman .I followed their guidelines and tried my best but nobody was interested in signing up only taking my bottles of product and not returning them . I was sold on a dream they said I would make at least 1000$ a month and that never happened and then my upline said i had to go to these events monthly which cost money every time for tickets and expenses but she said I would not make it if I did not go so I felt bad and invested more money ! I tried to get my friends to join but there were upset that i asked them to join and my family signed because they felt bad and 2 of my sisters got bumps and burns on their face and their skin dried out and they were mad at me . This was a bad experience and I now understand what a bad industry this MLM is ! I saw people at the top that started in the beginning making a lot of money and I understand know that only the people at the top make money .I used the product and it seemed to work well but then my face started to get burned and bumps on it .

This is a terrible experience and I wish this on knowing one and wish there would be laws against these MLM scams like Nerium AD. Myth of MLM Income Opportunity: 99% Lose Money in MLM Pyramid scheme expert and multi-level marketing expert Robert FitzPatrick has been studying these MLMs and business opportunity schemes for years. He is an absolute expert on how they operate, the pay plans, and the failure rates of distributors.

Robert produced a report on 11 MLMs , including Arbonne, Cyberwize, Free Life, Herbalife, Melaleuca, Nikken, Nuskin, Reliv, Usana, Your Travel Business, and, Amway/Quixtar. The study utilized information disclosed by these eleven companies, five of which are publicly traded. The annual revenue of these companies collectively exceeds $12 billion, and about 9 million people around the world are recruited into them each year. The most important results of FitzPatrick’s work were the following: 99% of all distributors in these companies earned on average less than $13 a week in commission income. (In 10 of the 11 companies, the commissions were less than $10 a week.) This isn’t even enough money to cover the minimum purchases they’re required to make in order to “qualify” for commissions. Recruitment into these companies is largely based upon the offer of an “income opportunity,” yet these statistics show that the income opportunity is essentially non-existent and falsely promoted. Recruitment into these companies creates billions of dollars of losses to consumers each year. The losses of 99% of the distributors are transferred to less than 1% of the people at the top of the sales chain as “commissions.”

The companies studied have essentially non-existent or unfeasible retail sales opportunities (i.e. participants can’t make much money selling the products because they’re overpriced). The promise of profit from retail sales by MLM sales representatives to consumers is the basis for the industry’s claim that it is a form of “direct selling,” yet virtually no multi-level marketing companies sell significant amounts of their products to the public and are therefore not in the “direct selling” business. The sales forces are churned (lost money/quit/replaced) at rates between 60-90% each year. Nearly all these churned sales people stop purchasing the products when they quit the schemes, indicating that they had made purchases primarily as part of the MLM income proposition in which they inevitably “failed.” The massive losses among MLM recruits are explained away by MLM’s lobbying organization with the claim that the great majority of MLM participants don’t want to earn money. They only are interested in buying the MLM goods at a “discount”, the Direct Selling Association claims. The explanation does not address the impossibility of broad-based profitability – regardless of time commitment, intention, motivation or levels of talent – in an “endless chain” recruitment model. The claim of “discount buyers” also does not account for the extraordinary churn rate among MLM participants, the majority of whom quit the schemes within a year and stop buying the MLM goods forever. The lack of broad-based and profitable retail selling is the single most telling sign that MLM companies are merely pyramid recruitment scams, not direct selling businesses. They have no “customers” and they have no profitable retail salespeople.

A business in which almost none of its sales representatives earns a profit and almost none has a sustainable retail customer base cannot be called “direct selling.” In virtually all cases, MLMs require monthly or annual purchase quotas by the sales people in order to qualify for the promised “commissions and rebates” gained from new recruits. The required purchases gained by making false promises of future income account for virtually all of MLM “sales,” not consumer demand or legitimate marketing. Commission pay plans in these companies send most of the money to the very top levels:. One of the largest MLMs in the world sends 84% of all commissions to the top 1% of its distributor chain. What chance would the newest recruits at the bottom have to earn a profit? In half of the 10 companies, 70% or more of participants earned no income at all. For example, 96% of Arbonne’s sales representatives never earn any commissions at all. 80% of YTB’s “agents” also earned no commission at all.
