I received a collection call from SW Credit, on behalf of NTTA(North Texas Tollway Authority) stating that I owe $80.80. I advised representative that he was mistaken because I have an active tollway tied to my credit card for over 10 years. Representative says charges go back to July 2011 totalling $5.85 + Administrative Fees = $80.80. Advised respresentative that I will not be paying $80.80. SW Credit Representative says I would have to call NTTA to dispute.
I called NTTA and advised that I received call from SW Credit and representative says charges are for 7/20/11(1.20), 7/21/11(.50), and 7/27/11(1.71, 1.28, 1.08) for a total of $5.85. I advised NTTA representative that I had an active/current account at that time and she needs to charge tolls to the credit card on file. NTTA representative preceeded to dispute that fact that I had an active/current account at that time. Later the NTTA representative went further back in history and saw that what I was saying is true, but proceeding to state that account is in collections and there is nothing she can do. She transferred me to collectdions(SW Credit).
It appears that NTTA owns or have an interest in SW credit because the manager I requested to speak with, read the notes from the NTTA representative. Advised manager that I would pay the $5.85, but not the $80.80.
