Once Upon A Child Reviews

September 19, 2014, Friday, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. I was in Once Upon a Child with my two children, Ilia 3 years old and Elizabeth 17 months old. I picked up 2 large boxes of my staff. I took your shopping cart for shipping my stuff and my children to the car. At this store I could not find a single vehicle Congress for the disabled and shopping carts to the parking lot. I was not able to drive the cart, which had 2 boxes and baby sitting on the parking lot. Everywhere prevented road curbs. I was going to take my kids and sit in the car first and then return to the boxes. But one box slid off the bottom shelf carts.

-- At that moment, when I bent down to pick up a box, cart with my baby and the other box and then rolled across the road turned road curbs. My child went over the box backwards, hit back of her head on the asphalt, and then fell on top of her heavy huge box right on the face. She flew out of the cart right into the parking lot! I'm just afraid to think what might have happened if at this point some sort of driver parked his car there! I'm still in shock! My child has a lot of physical health problems, she lost her hearing after birth. And now it's fall. I call 911 immediately after the accident. At first glance, according to firefighters and ambulance workers who arrived at the scene, the child was normal, except for a few bruises of her head from which blood was flowing. But the next morning, the child has bruises all over his body, arms, legs, back, face and back of the head. Her demeanor changed. It is capricious, refused to eat, slept a lot, ears scratched. We were in the hospital the next day on Saturday. There she underwent examination.

Over this past holiday weekend I saw a commercial for an up and coming location of Once Upon a Child that was buying clothing. I gathered up all the clothes from my kids from last fall/winter that no longer fit. Approximately 3/4 of what I broght was never worn. Included was a high end designer boy's leather jacket that was only available at flagship stores and new retail was $800.00. The jacket was only worn a few times. Total I had two 30 gallon trash bags full.

I returned a few hours later to discover they wanted to buy nearly all of my clothes, who wouldn't a majority were brand new, designer label items. They offered me $49.50. In total new retail I brought them in excess of $4,000.00 worth of clothing. If things are as advertised that they sell clothing for 70% off retail they would make $1,200.00 off the clothing I brought them and were offering me a measly $49.50! I will never ever sell my clothes here again. Do your self a favor and sell them through ebay or Facebook pages for selling kids things, or stick to an honest consignment shop. If you are crunched for time and can't be bothered, donate them and take the tax credit (it will be more than what they will offer you) I could have sold it by the pound for rags and been offered more. A genuine rip off and waste of time!!!!!

I understand (for anyone going to comment about the stores overhead) that yes they do have expenses, ones that I alleviate my self of by selling to them. You can't justify $1,150.00 worth of expenses or profit to be made on two bags of my clothing.
