I rented a vacation property to Chris Taggart. My Property management company checked him out everything seemed great! He prepaid, arrived as planned and left the property in good condition. After two months I received some very threatening calls from internet sellers. Chris had made several large purchases though the internet. He received the items according to the 7 tracking numbers provided by the various sellers yet he told each seller he hadn’t received anything and was doing multiple charge-backs. The sellers were threatening to send the police to my door because of the money involved. In the end the police DID visit and I had to PROVE that I was not Chris or at the property at the time. Chris was back in the UK with the goods. One by one I had to convince the merchants that the person living here at the time was a renter. I was truly threatened by some of these people that did not appreciating being RIPPED OFF . I started investigating this guy and learned he had a company called open corporates. At this time there is nothing I can do. I feel like a sitting duck when I'm at that property and I feel like I should not rent it to anyone at least until a few years has past.
