I was employed by Palmetto Security Services for little over a year. When I was hired I was given a supervisors position.My job title was Sgt. and my responsibilities entailed to ensure that all client request were fulfilled with security officers as requested and all post were covered. I also had the role of timesheets and ensuring payroll was correct, the scheduling of officers and extra officers for special events. I started off on an hrly wage but was put on a salary based pay due to the amount of hours envolved. During many meetings, Mr. Bowlware attended he would degrade and yell at his supervisors. When I left the company, I was cheated out of money on my check as well as my uniform reinbursment. he only paid me for several days of work instead of my full work week. I was told I was never on salary and that I got paid what was deserved. This company promises alot of things but never follows through and always blames the officers for the mishaps that involved withing the relations of the clients. Promises are made and never met. Cheating employee's out of money which they earned. When we worked football games we were required to stand in one area for long periods of time without relief for restrooms or drinks. Conditions of some sites were unbearable because we never had enough officers so others would have to pick up the slack. Organization and training were lapsed bad. We were given assignments, with no prior information on how the job was to be performed. Being a supervisor as I was, instructions of new sites were not given and the posts were expected to be covered without proper training of the officer. This is one of the worse companies I have ever worked for in my 15 years in the Security Field. It is also the most unorganized paperwork wise as well as training wise when placing officers on sites.
