I did my income taxes through TaxAct this year and opted for the prepaid Visa instead of the paper check. I recieved the card on 1/30/2014, activated it and set up my password. The IRS informed my that my refund would be on the card no later then 2/12/2014, but when I checked it today 2/10/2014 the automatic service said that my money was there. So I went to the ATM and withdrew 20.00 with no problem, but when I went to make a purchase not even 5 mins later, I was told my card was declined. I've tried calling the 800 number at least 20 times in a 10 min period, and each time after putting in the information they asked for, it keeps saying that the phone number was invaild or incorrect. So I proceeded to check on the website only to be told that there was a block on my account. This is not acceptable and it will not be tolerated. Before I knew this was goning to happen, I set up direct deposit with my payroll checks, so now I'm scared that I wouldn't be able to access any of my money. This there anyway possible to get this handled before I get the BBB involved?

Nichole from louisville ky. I did not recieve my income tax on my paypower. I contacted them they told me to send verification paperwork I did during the conversation. He told me he rcvd it. This is 2/19/14. It will take up to 90 days to complete investigation. They will send me my new card in 3-5days. I got the card and could not activate. Called paypower back they told me they would send it up someone would contact me to get my remainder balance. I kept calling for weeks customer service told me they could not reach the risk dept all they had was a email. Someone contacted me and sd they never rcvd the verification on the 19th now it is 3/20/14 I resent it he sd he rcvd it they should take the hold off my card to rcv the funds not used. Someone will contact me they stated in 3-5 business days. I called again to see they havent and lefta vm on the 855# james called back on 3/3/14 stated they never rcvd the verifiction docs. So I sent them again and requested to speak to a supervisor he sd there is nobody to speak to he gives me his word it will be processed. Then he tells me I hv my money released that is left on my card I have to wait 90 days from today to recieve a check. He said since someone has used my info they cant put my money on a card. Why did u send me a new card then. He couldnt answer my question and said im acting like they took my money. I explained im not being treated as a valuable customer nor am I getting heard nor is anything being done and he stated I only have 60 some dollars because of maintenance fees. Even though I hvnt used my card im getting charged fees. Every representative ive talked to is so aggressive and not friendly at all. Stay away from paypower visa they are a ripoff I dont know what to do.
