I purchased a 5 Quart container of Pennzoil Synthetic Motor Oil for my vehicle on 4/8/14 and submitted proof of purchase (receipt) and all of the proper documentation to Pennzoil for my rebate. After some time, I was notified that my receipt did not qualify, because the store did not spell out the Pennzoil name on the receipt, yet it showed the barcode. That was not my fault, that is the store's issue.
I called called the folks at the Pennzoil Rebate Center in Houston Texas and after sometime on hold, was told that I would be getting credit for my purchase, which should have been $1.00 off per gallon of gasolene credited to my Shell FRN Card. A day later, I was only credited .20 cents per gallon. I have been calling on numerous occasions to get the remaining .80 cents credited to my FRN card, just to be told that it is being processed, yet it never gets credited. It is now 7/18 and I was just told again that "the Processing Department is working on and you should be receiving it soon". Then I asked them to call me back to confirm that it was indeed being processed, at which time the representative, Kate, told my telephone number. I have not heard back from them! I am now going to contact my state's Attorney General office and file a complaint with that organization.
Do not buy Pennzoil Products with th hopeof receiving any type of rebate from these clown. You will only waste your time and run-up your minutes on your cell phone. Pennzoil is a RIP-OFF and I will never buy their products again!
On Saturday May 24 2014, I brought my vehicle in for a typical oil change. An employee with the initials "J.M." serviced me and was quite polite. Everything seemed to be going smooth. Close to the end of the transaction, I was informed by another employee with the initials "F.A." that I had a gas leak due to a bad gas filter. I know this was NOT the case as I had recently replaced my gas filter and up until this exact point, did not smell gasoline at all while in my vehicle.
When I came in to the shop, I had an quarter tank of gas. Upon leaving, I had an eighth of a tank and smelled a very strong odor of gas in my car. I got home and parked my car in front of my apartment. At this time there were NO marks or stains on the concrete. When I went to run an errand, I noticed that there was a small puddle of gas on the ground and that my car was steadily dripping it as well. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I will be notifying the manager monday in hopes of having this issue fixed.
