I went online to people's search and people's finder came up. They have promo for $1.95 to give you address phone #s . It says that if you don't cancel after 3 days they will charged 20 something dollars. I opt up on the 1.95 and did gave me any me... ph #. So I tried to close the page and automatically another page showed up and saw that it was for $9.95. I close the page because I did not want this to be charged. I called customer service the same day and told the lady that I have use the search for $1.95 and that's all I wanted. Told the lady that there's another page that popup and did not want this. The lady assured me that there's no other charges. When I look at my bank acct the next day I saw the $9.95 charged. I was very upset. Called my bank and explained about the charged and they told me that they will take care of this.. then to my amazement the people's finder charged me $2.50 WITHOUT MY CONSENT...So again I called my bank and told them what happened to me again..i called peoplesfinder and the lady that answerd the second time to explain she was belligerent and rude. I emailed them and told them that I also never consented to this charged at all...I have the emails and the date of the phone calls and I believed that this are people ripping off people for their money....even though it's only $2.00 it's the principle of the thing...how many people have they done this that probably was not even aware that they getting riff off by this company.
I was checking on line for a person who wanted to rent from me. Doing a on line search in Arizona I found what the State of Arizona FREE on line look up and information etc. Entered the name of the person and then the size was hi-jacked to People finder and then I was shown all kinds of information on this person and clicked on report I was directed to a payment screen witn all kinds of expensive choices, it wasn't worth it for me and backed out of the site then at the top of the screen a pop up screen appeared offering to retrieve this information for .95 but when directed to payment screen no where does the offer appeared. My comment is FRAUD, CHEATS, LIARS,
Peoplefinder internet platform is deceiving to catch monies for themselves. First, one must read thru each step to try to keep out of improper imposition debt.
Second, one must complain to the charge card where improper charge received within 90 days to cards complaint department & have backup detail copied info of impropriety. Thus, charge card will void the debt.
Third but most important, it seems, always use a charge card for this service as using an attorney never gets you justification because they are always, that I have conducted business with, self oriented without ACTUALLY RELATING MORE THOROUGHLY BASIC MOST DETAIL ABOUT HOW TO HELP DELIVER TO YOU WITHOUT A COMPLAINTANT GOING BANKRUPT. UNEQUAL REPRESENTATION! AT THE LEAST, A MORE REFINED DETAILED WHERE TO GO FOR SELF HELP ALREADY AVAILABLE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS. JUST A ONEWAY USARY (SP?) IS NOT TRUE REPRESENTATION OF TRUE BALANCE.
