I was working for Billy Powell and Ally Powel over at the Rye Golf Club when they took over the snack bat as a server, I and other employees were entering our gratuity into the POS System everyday for four months. I established relationships with the members and worked hard for my tips. I was told by Ally Powell (his wife) that to enter our tips into the system and Rye Golf club was going to cut them a check to be distributed amongs the employees. Months passed, no gratuity I was told by her daughter Shannon Powell her parents received the check and she was "going to b**** her mom out about the gratuity tonight" so I then let a month go by...nothing! I finnally had enough of the verbal abuse and no day off for two months, working from 6:30 am-7:30pm everyday end result I had quit.
further, I never agreed to getting payed cash after fourty hours. To punish me, they decided not to pay me over my fourty hours. They cut a check for $350.00 and owed me another four hundred dollars plus the gratuity they owed me. I let another month go by and called Ally to ask about my money. Her response was "i thought you would take it out of the cash box, give me the dates you worked" my response " why would i do that? Thats stealing" she has all of my time cards and has all of the dates of days I worked. They are guilty of stealing peoples hard earned money. She and her husband do a horrible job serving old and expired food they certainly need to pay. Someone needs to put an end to their journey of screwing people over. Even third world countries know human rights..Im done.
