Precision Air & Heating Reviews

Precision Air came out on 5/22/15 to blow insulation into attic as on annual servicing I was told it was needed. While in the attic a worker fell thru kitchen ceiling, insulation everywhere throughout the house and couple of feet in kitchen. The ceilIng fans were on and blew dust on every possible surface before I could turn them all off.I immediately took photos and call the company requesting a call from the owner as I am disabled and very sick. A manager called and said he was on his way and already called a drywaller and cleaning company were coming. Prior to his arrival, the workers hurriedly got up as much as they could using a large flat metal shovel as well as dragging equipment in on my wood floors. The worker who fell admittedly stepped on a board he shouldn't have and was afraid he was going to be fired. The manager showed up, mostly sat in his truck poking in occasionally. The two young guys who I thought were house cleanser, said this was not their day job ,as they did restoration cleaning. I helped clean, used two of my own vacuums, rags, swept garage as the insulators left a mess while the manager watched. The cleaning crew did the best and prior to them leaving the manager had me look to see if it looked ok. At first glance, it did.

What was to have been a 1 1/2hr insulation job was now into over 6 hrs .When I was looking everything over dust was still in the air, recoating everything again and saw areas that were not cleaned. Fridge wasn't moved, floors badly damaged in spots, a broken clock etc. I immediately called Precision again requesting a call from the owner. No call.

I texted photos to the manager of the dirt/damage the following day, still no call from the owner. I finally texted the manager that I was going to report this to every agency possible and that I was a medically retired Investigator with nothing but time and resources.

Gee, the owner called and instead of asking what he could do to make it better, he began yelling that they did all they could and that I could never be appeased or satisfied and how associates, friends and boyfriend, husband etc.couldn't appease or stand me, if I ever had a man. I was shocked to be spoken to like that, especially in front of friends. He obviously has issues with women and is gender discriminating. He did not offer to send "real house cleansers" to clean nor mentioned the damages and all the time I spent cleaning, washing rags, mops etc. I was mentally and physically exhausted.

WOMEN, BEWARE OF PRECISION!!!!!

On 8/22/14 at 8pm I went into an agreement with Precision Air & Heating for two new airconditioning units. For 14,206.00. Don Maddox was the salesman. He indicated that we would have to have airhandlers removed. These are located up in two different rooms covered with drywall. The drywall would be removed to take out the units and drywall repair would be around $500. They would also have to do some roof work do to new ducting which would be no greater than $1,000 total. which would be a total for everything 16,000. The installation of this project would begin Thursday Aug 28 2014. I made it clear to Don that I needed final prices before proceeding. He did confirm that the total costs of Demo and repair would be no more than $500 ea. In good faith I gave him half the money down which was $7514.27 in the form of a check. Don said he would have his guys (Demo team and meet with the roofer) come out on wednesday afternoon and would get back to me with final costs. I did not hear back from Don at all on Wednesday for the total fees. Thursday morining I had to call him and ask what the total fees were. The demo guys quote came in at $1,440. The roof repair came in at $1,400. So instead of the $1,000 additional fee he had assured us on came in at $2840. At that point I called Don and said I want to postpone the installment that was taking place on 8/28/14 until further notice. Don attempted to pressure me to continue with the install. I did send an email which I stated that I wanted to post pone the installation due to the extrodianry jump in costs. After that I was informed that I would be penalized $280 for not wanting to pay an increase of $2800. I was also informed that the cooling off period had passed.

instead of charging me the 280.00 Sandra Waddle quoted me it is now $2800 "either you pay 2800 more in fees or you have to pay it to them".

> After doing some research - The FTC states that sales made in the home the "Seller" Precision Air & Heating Should have provided me with the -Cooling-Off Period For Sales Made at Homes"

4 techs and 6 service calls later, I am out $2,700 with ZERO results from Precision Air. Despite having courteous techs, they lack the technical expertise they advertise. After explaining to them that what they did was not working, a new technician would come by and "diagnose" a new problem requiring major work and of course $$$$. After the 6th visit they admitted they should have thoroughly checked the actual A/C unit, which was then discovered to be the main issue. This new visit would require additional major work from a new technician to finally fix the problem. I had heard this before and could not trust them.

Please do yourself a favor and use another company to service your A/C issues. Or AT LEAST get a second opinion before you trust their advice. I think there are plenty of A/C companies that do initial visits for free. If you must use them, I suggest talking to one main technician because they like to bounce you around from manager to manager so no one takes ownership for their poor results

Don't be fooled by their perfect Yelp review rating, their actual reviews from unhappy customers are on the bottom of the page under:"other reviews that are not currently recommended".
