Precision Interior & Remodeling LLC Reviews

  • Nov 12, 2014

I hired Azar Ali of Precision Interior & Remodeling LLC, Elizabeth NJ, to do some construction work on a restaurant renovation.

The first part of the project was to repair and paint the soffit, install a gutter, and install a water drain in the patio. Ali quoted an estimate, and I paid. The initial woodwork soffit repair was done in a timely manner, and looked presentable. The hole in the cement for the outdoor drain was made, but Ali never installed the drain. The gutter was installed.

The second part of the project was to install the insulation and sheetrock according to the plan, install the clay tiles on the roof, complete the interior counter (including installation of granite top), install bathroom doors, and compound and paint the interior.

The first problem arose when he painted the soffit. Ali merely scraped the old paint, did not prime anywhere, and simply painted over all the imperfections. Needless to say, the job looked very sloppy and unprofessional. Ali claimed that was what he was hired to do.

Next problem was the installation of the clay tiles. The tiles were misaligned and not squared. Ali redid the installation a second time, which looked better than the first time, but was still unacceptable. Ali claimed he installed clay tiles in Miami, but judging from the work, he had little or no experience working with clay tile.

The next problem was one bathroom door. It was not aligned, and did not close properly. Ali stated the frame was not straight, and it wasn’t his problem. Ali did not adjust the door, and left it as is. This was extremely unprofessional.

The next problem arose with the installation of the R21 insulation. Ali did not follow the plan, and installed the insulation on the inner wall, leaving a large section of roof with no insulation. Ali then lied by stating the plan gave him an option as to location of insulation. Ali then failed to install insulation on the remaining exterior walls as per plan. Ali lied again by saying that since he was using 5/8” sheetrock, insulation was not needed. It may not be needed in Trinidad, where he is from, but in New Jersey we need as much insulation as possible.

The quality of the work performed was not professional in any way. Furthermore, Ali’s lack of willingness to correct his negligent mistakes shows a serious character flaw.

Ali has not shown up to finish his work for the past two weeks. He doesn’t answer my calls, and simply blew me off.

Based on my experience with Azar Ali, I can honestly say the following:

Azar Ali is a liar, and is not to be trusted;

Azar Ali has a very poor work ethic, and his workmanship is very unprofessional;

Azar Ali is a coward. He hides like a rat, knowing full well that he screwed up, and refuses to correct his mistakes. Ali ignores my phone calls and text messages, which is in line with the actions of a coward.

I recommend that anyone reading this avoid doing business with Azar Ali, and warn others as well. He is completely ignorant and unprofessional.

Ali Azar can be reached at , and his address is

His email is: [email protected]

There is absolutely no precision in his work. It is rushed, sloppy and unprofessional.
