Saturday June 27, I called quick lock smith 247 , my ignition was stuck. There tech came out and said it needed a new ignition and it was going to be over $300.00. I told him I couldn't afford that, so he gave me a 15% discount. So I paid $258.40. He changed out the ignition and it still don't work. He said it was a mechanical problem. When you turn the key to turn it on it stays and spring back. He put it in wrong and they will not send a different tech out to fix his mistake. I called 5 times the keep telling me that someone would call me and come fix the problem,

no one ever called or came to fix it. I called Sunday they said the same thing but no one called or came to fix the problem. I called today they had to send the same tech out and at this point I didn't care anymore I just wanted my van fixed. I still didn't hear anything back so I called them back and they told me that the tech and his supervisor talked about and decided it was a mechanical problem. They put it in wrong so I'm out $258.40 plus I have to have it towed and pay for their mistake.

It seems that this is a national scam that represents itself as a local locksmith in many parts of the country. If you look up "24 hour locksmith" on line in your area, these guys will likely pop up near the top of the list.

To get my mother into her house after hours after she had locked herself out, they quoted $19 for the call and $35 for the repair, same as shows on their web site. Of course the $35 is followed by an asterisk which, if you go down and read the fine print, reveals that $35 is actually the least they will charge you.

My wife called them on the phone, she did not visit the web site, and they quoted her the $19 + $35 fee with no qualifications or mention of possible extra fees. When the locksmith showed up, he tried to jack up the price to above $150 due to the specific type of lock. There is nothing exotic about the lock on my mother's door. My wife, who was there, just told the guy to get lost. Apparently we fared better than many people who have dealt with this "company", whose locksmiths harrassed the customer and would not go away.

We then called an actual local locksmith, who came out and politely and professionally did the whole job for $40. It was tod's lock & key in sandy, utah, highly recommended! these guys try to look like a friendly local company on the web, but it actually seems to be a national "operation" to take advantage of people in a tight spot. Stay away!

I called this locksmith company to open a door at my residence. The tech they sent out damaged our door frame with his crowbar. The next day when I came home from work I noticed the door would not open because the frame had been damaged. I called the locksmith company and they repeatedly told me they would have a supervisor call me back. I called twice and still the same thing- a supervisor will call you back. Two weeks went by and no call. I called again and finally got a manger on the phone She said the company wouldn't take responsibility and that it had been a month since the service so I should have filed a claim earlier. When I tried to explain that I had called multiple times - she talked over me and said that I would just have to call the tech myself Needless to say the tech wouldn't answer his phone and I'm out $80 plus a damaged door

I am furious at Quick locksmith 247. I looked up locksmith and it was the first one that came up. It said $19.00 for service call. I got there. It took 30 seconds to take my real estate lockbox off that was broken. He took 60 seconds to do and he charged me $95.00. I knew there would be a charge but that labor was way off the market. They should not be overcharging. This is no way to treat the public. I am going to dispute this on my credit card. They are thieves! Shame on them! how to influence friends . Its crap to treat people like this. Don't use these people.
