Was contacted by Jacob for a re-finance. He explained everything and lastly re-quested my credir card

info to process the "Good Faith" deposit which he said would be returned if the loan did not process. I hesitated

and questioned this but he kept reassuring me that this money would only be taken if the loan went through. I finally gave him my cc info. based on the numbers he'd given me over the phone. It was supposed to be for $168,000 refinance-and he told me my payments would be approx. $80 less monthly. These are the figures I agreed to and that is why I gave him the "Good Faith" $$ to start the process. Within a few days they had all my info and I was contacted to set-up a closing date. When thery read me the figures I woild be closing on they were NOT the same that I agreed to initially. The amount had increased to $171,000 after questioning this I decided to back out and cancel on the spotg. They were hesitant and dragged me along for a few more weeks trying to get me to sign-expaining that they were trying to hit a moving target. I still wanted to cancel. A few days later they cancelled stating that I was no longer approved. When I got my cc statement they had taken most of the "Good Faith "$$ actually refunded me $103 of the $500. They changed the loan amounts after I signed off digitally. Do NOT use this company-they are kinda shady folks!! Buyer BEWARE!!!! They have LOST all of my business and I will spread the word via social media about my negative experience with them!

Quicken pre approved a home loan to us. they then dragged their feet about giving us the loan, then one problem after another kept popping up. They told us closing dates and kept pushing it back,. Today we were supposed to close on our home. But we received a call today saying they could not do the loan. So what was the point of pre approval?!?!?! Then have us going through the whole home looking process which took a lot of time. We are angry because we did everything Quicken asked us to do and they waited until literally the last minute to say , oops sorry. We are out of the non refundable option fee, the home inspection fee and we have given our apartments our notice and paid the 1000.00 reletting fee. Quicken really hurt us bad, and put us in a financial bind. They also left the sellers in a bind. Now we have to release the sellers from the contract and let them move on to another buyer.

We gave 500 to our agent for escrow and gave quicken loans 400 to go towards closing. We signed all paperwork than they kept coming back saying we need all this other stuff and keeps moving our closing date. They keep wanting more money and don't want to give any refunds but want more money. They told us several times we were good to close but than stop the closing

We contacted 4 mortgage companies and were pre-approved with all.

I chose Quicken because they were most polite on the phone and in contact with us on a regular basis.

The process took around 4 months, During the 1st month it was all about getting the documents they requested,

then the 2nd month following up with the last few details of documents, We were on the phone almost everyday with Sara Clealand

then I was required to pay the appraisal fee of $400.00 Before I made that payment I questioned them isn't this to be done

when we are scheduled for settlement? they said no, Then I asked if I pay this is it refundable they said no, I said I don't want pay for an appraisal now and I wanted to wait till we were closer to a settlement date because at settlement this all could be denied in the end,

They said we won't be denied we are totally qualified and would never be turned down on the loan. I paid the $400.00 and a few days later we were

called by another department of Quicken and told we will have to close the loan for now and reapply when the home is ready to be brought because

they don't hold open a loan for more than a month or two and our purchase was able to take severel months, this is a Bank Owned home and we have no telling when it might go to closing, I told them they knew this was that type of home purchase from the beginning 4 months ago, (It is a Reversed mortgage that the owner had on the home and now the bank owns it from her) Plus after 4 months of talking everyday with quicken and towards the end being convinced the payment of an appraisal was a must and that we were not at all to be concerned we would be denied. Then they also had another department call and tell us we had a drop in our credit score and needed to work on that. I check my score every week and there was not a single drop in its score.

I disputed the charge with my bank but after a month or two I was denied, and Quicken won the dispute, I then went with another mortgage company and was told they do not honor other companies pre-approvals. I called quicken and they told me it is transferrable if it is to go towards a FHA. I told them I was not even decided with them being my lender if I was to do FHA or Conventional as we were told by them (Quicken) we could choose this shortly before settlement. But even if I were doing FHA my other mortgage company would not use it and was to have me pay them for their appraisal anyway.

So Quicken Lied to us by making clear we were totally approved and the $400.00 paid for an appraisal was correct. We were even told we were better than approved and we were with a conditional approval and nothing would interrupt giving us this loan. so I went and made the $400 payment only to a few days later get the bad news that were denied and the payment for the appraisal is not refundable

My wife and I wanted to refinance are home where we try many time and was denied by the bank right there and than. It never went further nor we was charged. So we decided to try with Quicken Loans on there advertisement base on closed clients surveys. We start the process and we comply with every single paperwork that was requested, appraisal was done, $400 was charge and than came down for closing. Everyone was so professional and politely spoken. We waited with no other calls coming in for two week when finally a agent by the name of Michael Gonzales calling and telling us that he needed to receive a document stating so a balance that was being pay on a lean of the house and was it getting pay. If he didn't received those paper by the date he gave us than are loan will be denied. We immediately got the statment with the information that was required by the bank and fax to Michael Gonzales. My wife and I was so certain that we would get approved and so happy. Michael Gonzales calls back stating that the documents we send were not what he needed with an aggressive voice and repeated what he needed with sarcasm as if we didn't know what he ment. What he reguested was given completely correctly from the bank and sure have completed all we needed for the loan to go through. The next day we receive an email from Qicken loans on the denial on the loan for not reaching the necessary document s that was needed. After all we had put in and comply with everything that was ask and now this...this ms Michael Gonzales who show no interest on making this happen.

Quickens Loads was great in all aspects of working with the wife and I on a new oan on our residential property. I think that should be noticed by folks that read the RipOff Report. Not all all events mentioned here on this web site should show just bad things which show only a very small percent age of the buisness Quickens Loans does. I have talked to many frieds and neighbors which give Quickens Loads an AAA plus plus.

I applied for a loan with Quicken Loans. I was pre approved instantly. After uploading all of my information they continued to ask for the same documents over & over again including bank information & tax returns. Documents that should never be "lost" by a financial institution considering they contain very sensitive information. I was ready to pull the loan because of this..then someone from customer relations contacted me & convinced me to stay with them. Needless to say I should have gone with my instinct. They sent me a letter asking if I had opened anymore debt besides what was listed on my credit report. I advised them no..but apparently you are not allowed to use your credit cards during the loan process. This is NOT stated anywhere. I had fraud on my bank account a while back so I try not to use it, instead I use my credit cards and pay it off at the end of the month. Now, after going though everything over & over they told me I was over budget by $33..but they said they will credit the amount at closing..we had already put in an offer on a house at that time. Unfortunately the a/c was broken and the seller refused to have it fixed & we canceled the contract. I called Quicken and advised them and they stated not a problem..you won't have any issues from our side. I spoke with both my mortgage banker & the underwriter. The next day I go on my quicken loans website only to find a letter stating my loan has been denied due to excessive debt. I am now fighting to get my deposit back..which I'm sure will not happen. These people are incompetent, uneducated & LIARS! I wouldn't recommend anyone doing business with them..all they want is your deposit that is non refundable. Do that to 10 people a week & they get rich just off of that.
