Reachout Wireless Reviews

I would like to get the word out there to ANY and ALL field agents working for any company that contracts with Lifeline to sign up people for a cell phone. If you are hired as a 1099 contractor, AND are forced to attend weekly meetings, forced to adhere to a weekly schedule, forced to man the tents, are given supplies by the company to do your job including clothing, ipad, tablet, etc, AND hate the fact that you are paying 100% of your FICA/SS taxes with NO workers' comp coverage, when the employer really should be paying:

please file this form with the IRS

http://www.irs.gov/uac/Misclassified-Workers-to-File-New-Social-Security-Tax-Form

They have hired you illegally unless you are able to make your own schedule, purchase your own supplies, and never, never are forced to man a tent or work a set schedule. GET YOUR MONEY BACK. File the IRS form and they will help you.

There are many more companies out there doing this, but Assurance, Reach Out and Safelink are the three heavy hitters. They MUST be stopped.....file your complaint today.

Called at the end of July 2014 to cancel service. As of Aug. 25,2014 the service is still active after numerous calls, extremely long hold times, chat option, and nonworking email link in websiite. They're only in business to run the customer in circles and taking our govetnment's money to provide service to those in need with ONLY refurbished phones. AND....No one speaks CLEAR English language. Further attempts will be made on my end to register complaints to the FCC. Bottom line... CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER, THIS HAS BEEN A RIPOFF FOR 2 yrs. TOO LONG.

On April 14,2014 I faxed application for a free cell phone, which is supposed to be Federally Funded for seniors and disabled. It advertises only $2.50 a month They send you a FREE cell phone. After waiting two weeks and no response from Reachout I called them at 877-777-1914 and was told they never got a fax from me. I re-FAXED the info on May 14, 1014. Again no response so on June 10th I called and was on hold two hours with their reps telling me no info was received from me. I called on June 11th was on HOLD THREE hours. Ended up speaking to two different Reps, I was told they had the Fax with my info and he even read me the items I Faxed. Now the third rep gets on the phone ( did not get his name because I could not understand a word he said) he said there was no info on me. I told him I was just given the info that indeed they got it. He hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor.

I beleive this is a scam, and not they have all my info..what should I do. I am 76 years old and confused.

After not receiving my monthly allotted minutes (on numerous occassions) I would call and they would tell me I am not a customer or I had 2 government free phone services. I had started with them back in 2009!

I have had to reappl countless times in the last years , just to get my minutes. After the last time they started me back as a new customer. Well, gues what, in the following months the phone they sent me crapped out. I had not used it for a while got a new battery and charger. I had signed up for the 125 roll over minutes, so I thought I would have a couple of months worth of minutes, wrong. I called and explained to them I had not used it in a while, guess what they did not even have my number as a customer, or me for that matter even after giving them the numbers from the phone. So once again had to fax over a re-apply with all info. I said to the rep this is probably why you think I have nore than one free phone, you keep having me resubmit my info and app.

Today I get a text from them to contact them as my phone will be cut off in 24 hours! All I can say is WoW!

Since this is a government service why are the calls directed to India, taking away more jobs from Americans.

So I am on hold now started out as caller 81 in line, now do to 30, I guess a lot of people got the same screwball text. After re-applying with them so many times I'm surprised the Feds have not showed up at my house thinking I have about 10 Gov phones. I am the only adult in the home and disabled. I have it in case my car breaks down. How the heck did they get this contract from the government is what I would like to know.

The first phone I got from them, lasted a long time, LG, then we upgraded to a camera phone, that was a mistake, went back first phone. Then the trouble started.... So if you get a 2nd (upgraded phone) watch out I think that is what created the problem.

Oh and the rudeness, don't get me started on that subject.. The language would be unsuitable and I probably would not be allowed to post here ever again!!! Go with Assurance.. or the other one can't think of their name.

I started the entire proceess of applying for a free cell phone for my then 14-year-old-niece back in August of 2013. I supplied them with all of the documents they asked for, and made all of the call backs they wanted. They just said that they needed approval to process everything. When I called this afternoon I was told that they need a NEW application to update the initial process.

I am sooo sick of this. I have done everthing they have asked of me and now they want me to start the process over again!! The lady me and my wife spoke with did not even know the name of the government entity who they represent!!! Again, I am sick of them and now I think that this whole thing is a scam of some sort. I was supposed to get a telephone call from someone high up on the food chain with this company but once again that fell through.
