Reserve National Insurance Company Reviews

  • May 15, 2015

I was made beneficiary of an insurance policy by my adopted uncle. He labeled me as grandson because that's how he thought of me. I have talked for him to reserve national as him labeling me as his grandson. It’s there in files and recorded messages It's on all of his doctor records, hospital records,, and other paper work. He had taking his daughter off the policy (june2014) because she said she would pay it, but she wasn't. She wouldn't do right by him. He would borrow money from me and other people to pay it. He couldn't afford to pay for it. Since I had been helping to taking care of him for FEW YEARS. He asked me would I take over the payments (June 2014), because he wanted to make sure he would be buried next to his wife. I told him I would if I was made beneficiary. He said sure why not, you will be the one paying and it’s only fair. He was like I haven't seen my so called daughter in 5 years + and she only lives 3 1/2 to 4 hours away. She only called a few times a year.

Long story made short. He passed away on 03-12-2015. I paid for the funeral by myself $3600 with no help from reserve national nor his so called daughter nor any other family members. Remember now I'm not blood but I can pay for the funeral and pay for the policy. I called to make a claim they told me to what to send in and I sent it. I was told by reserve national that his daughter had made a claim to but she wasn't beneficiary anymore I was. I have papers from them stating that I am beneficiary. His daughter told them that I wasn't his grandson as he labeled me. So now they don't want to pay me, but they took payments from me. Reserve national representative Andrea Moates quote on quote. You are not blood related and you were misrepresented by relations to Mr. Simms so we will pay his rightful heir which is his daughter. They have no right to say or do that. He made the changes that he wanted to make. It was his policy. People have pets as their beneficiary. Then she sends me another letter stating that the money will be sent to his estate. I tell he that I am executive of his estate per his WILL says so.

The WILL was done with 2 witnesses and notarized all legal by the state of Texas. She asked for a copy so I sent it to her. She comes back with you have sent me a non probated will. Here in Texas you are not required to probate a will unless there is someone contesting it. His daughter saw the will, has a copy, and was ok with it. His daughter and I are the only people in the WILL. She got her items the day of the funeral that he left for her and she went back to Oklahoma. He only had $18 in his banking account, a 1977 ford truck that he made a title loan on and it’s not working, a 2006 mobile with a $30,000+ mortgage still left on it, clothes, pictures, and furniture. There is nothing to probate. His insurance policy was only worth $11000. His WILL states that the insurance policy was for me since I paid it for almost a year. I don’t have money for a lawyer and the insurance company, know this. This is a rip off. The original insurance policy doesn’t state that the beneficiary has to be a blood relative. I have received letters from 3 of their representatives. Deborah P., Mrs. Moore, and Andrea Moates which was a complete butt in her letters.
