I repeatedly told the manager and salesperson that I could not afford the bike I was looking at but they kept saying, "Let's see what you will qualify for". I told my Father when I got home what had happened and he told me to watch the mail for finance companies. They rolled in for the next week! They ran my credit 5 times without my consent after several times telling them "I can't afford the bike"! I just started my credit profile and now after 5 HARD CREDIT CHECKS, my credit score dropped many points. Of all the credit checks, I was turned down for all of them but YAMAHA corp. Funny huh?
I am in the process of disputing the checks and contacting the BBB. I shoould have known better than to go there after several people told me how they do business. I hope they feel good about hurting someone's credit report!
