I was ripped off by Rockets Auto Repair. Brought my car in for a minor repair. After they started to work on the vehicle, got a call from them saying there were a few other problems with the car. The additional work was expensive, but they insisted it was important and necessary. Not a mechanic myself, trusted they would be honest.
On pickup, was going to pay with a credit card, and they said they only took cash or equivalent. Trusting that the work was done, paid and left the shop. Within a day, the original problem the car was brought in for started up again. At this point, thought I might have been scammed and decided to go to another Auto Repair Shop for a second opinion. Rocket Auto Repair (sometimes called 4 Wheel Auto Center) never repaired the car or performed the additional work. Basically, was scammed by them.
Rocket comes across as a guy who would take retaliatory action against a customer, so accepted the loss and decided it better to make sure future customers learn from my experience. Suggest never using Rocket's Auto Repair for any service under any circumstance. Don't let a simple repair or even an oil change lead to expensive unnecessary charges. And by all means, only pay for Auto Repair work with a credit card so you can dispute with the credit card company if needed.
