I am and have been an avud player of the increasingly popular Facebook game, Mall World. In fact, I've been playing for the last 4 years and have several different accounts. As of 24 hours ago, I am through with this game. The reason for which is not the quality of the game, the other players, or anything like that -- it's because of the company that owns the game, RockYou!

This company bought the game some time ago and, for lack of a better term, began a war within the community. In fact, I can't think of a time, since their take-over, where there hasn't been some sort of problem within the game. Among other things, RockYou has denied paying players their right to complain, dispute claims that the player has paid actual money for, blatantly lied to other players of the community regarding the claims I am reporting right now, permanently banned a respected and courteous player who was simply standing up for what she believed to be right, intimidated players into submission, and scammed us all!

This company has disgusted several players through their bullying and intimidation to keep us quiet and, I'm sorry, but I refuse to sit idly by while they continue their dictatorship of the game that I've been with for so long. I realize that it is only a game but the principle of the matter is, you can't, as a company, do whatever you want when people are paying their hard-earned money to fund one of your projects. I cancelled my VIP membership and will never again log in to the game because of this matter, and I'm not the only one. In fact, there are hundreds of us loyal, dedicated players that are throwing in the towel because of this company and it's dictatorship. I can only hope that it's enough to make a statement and have them see the error of their ways. When people pay for a service, they expect to get that service, not to be intimidated and suppressed for having an opinion.

Since this company has taken over some particular Face Book games all the have done is lied with false advertising and cheted people out of real money the have spent in the games. They make a promise and go back on them and just flat out lie!

In the 4 years I have been playing this game I have spent well over 400 dollars in my hard earned money. When so many promises were broken I decided to stop using my hard earned cash. The efforst they make are minimal and have no customer service skills what so ever. They need to be stopped and taught how to properly handle situations that involve peoples money, but They are unloyal theifs and I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Rock You, a social media provider, owns many Facebook games, one of them being Mall World. This company treats their customers poorly, and bans them from groups if they speak their mind, supressing their right to the first Amendment--freedom of speech. They also offer fraudulent sales on their game, promising players exclusive items for a high price. On numerous occasions, they have taken these exclusive items that members had to pay real cash for, and made them available through free game currency, in turn, scamming everyone who paid real money for them.

I am a paying player who has purchased several exclusive bundles, VIP subscriptions, and credit packages. I have no issue with the money I have spent for a subscription, or even for credit packages; however, I decided that paying $20.00 a pop for exclusive bundles that ended up becoming common, was quite a scam. I had had enough of this fraudulent, false advertisement, so I disputed the bundle charges with my credit card company.

I also made the merchant aware of my intent to do so, and they completely understood my feelings and agreed.

A week later, my disputes came back, and I was refuned the money I had spent on exclusive bundles. A few days later, I went to log on to Rock You's "Mall World," and a message came up stating that I was not allowed to play the game anymore. I contacted the merchant, and they explained that since I had disputed the charges and they resulted in chargebacks, I would be banned from the game permanently. I was shocked, but there was more...

An hour later, the merchant posted in one of their groups saying that the rumors going around about players getting banned for disputing charges were untrue. Upon seeing this, I posted my conversation with the merchant, validating the rumors as a truth. The merchant was upset about this, and posted in the group yet again, claiming that anyone who made excessive chargebacks to the game would be banned permanently! Oh really? So this just now became a rule with no forewarning? People aren't allowed to complain when you committ fraud?

In addition, the merchant claimed that anyone defending my case would have their comments removed. Several of my supporters, who are also getting nailed with fraudulent charges, were banned from the group for voicing their opinion. This game took everything from me. All of the goods and services I had paid for for the last three years. Also, I had a VIP subscription at the time I was banned, so they also broke that contract, and didn't give me the goods/services as agreed upon since they banned me before my subscription was over and with no warning.

I have several printscreens documenting their behavior and tactics. I have proof of them admitting to making exclusive content common. Proof of them banning people just because they don't like their opinion. Proof of their theft, lying, and overall distasteful customer service tactics. This company should be immediately investigated for fraud, theft, and false advertisement so millions of others aren't ripped off and treated unjustly the way I have been.
