I had the crappiest roommate ever!!! As an exchange student in the states I was looking forward to campus life as in my home university I had my own pad. I was given this nasty foreign student. She NEVER showered, left her dirty underwear on the floor, had never heard of deodorant, smoked weed, cigarettes in the room, would leave her half eaten cans of tuna/sardines/spicy curry in the room on Thursday evening as she goes to the city and comes back Monday!!! I used to clean the room every weekend because I was raised in a very clean hygienic environment and my mum insisted on it. She would bring her stinky ass friends in our room and they all would sit on my bed. She ate all my study-snacks after her weed escapades, stole money from me on countless accounts and even tried to cheat my friends. She would always say that I was uncool cause I refused drugs. i eventually got a single room on Roomster because I couldn’t deal with her lifestyle anymore.
I never use any online services but Roomster was great! Super clean design and useful, functional tools. Great resource to find roommates or list rooms for rent.
I found a nice, QUIET, and SINGLE girl to live with and I couldn’t be happier.
My old roommate’s boyfriend LIVED with us and had his own place like 30 seconds away. I had to wait for him to get out the shower just so I could take one. The worst part was, I think my roommate KNEW that it pissed me off when he was over because as soon as I walk in the door they’d run in the bathroom to take a long ass shower. I think it’s so fucking rude and this was a horrible first roommate experience. He has shaved in the bathroom with nothing but underwear on and leaves the hair there. They left dirty dishes in the sink and trash bags by the front door for days. We had roaches. He knocked on the door at 4 in the morning hoping someone would let him in. They left SHOES on the COFFEE TABLE and food on the stove. I felt like my kindness was being taken as a weakness when I’m really trying to turn over a new leaf and be cool & level headed. But I’m tired of this shit so I left the place and found a new place to live on Roomster.
Signed up for a 3 day trial for $5 but services were never performed. Was supposed to give me access to messaging renters, but renters never received my messages. They also auto-bill you $29 and when you try and cancel no one answers your emails or phone calls.
