I purchased a 10inch 32g samsung nexus tablet as 1 of my daughter's 2013 Christmas gifts. It nearly costed $400. It stopped working before it made 5 months old. I contacted samsung & after I gave them all my info, the tablet info, they requested a copy of the original receipt. After faxing the receipt to them, they denied ever receiving it. I then mailed them a copy & returned to the sam's club that it was purchased from and had sam's email & fax said receipt. I was eventually contacted by samsung after i had placed Numerous calls to them, in which weeks had passed. I was told that my warranty had Already expired before i even purchased it from the club because sam's had been purchased the tablets from them. I advised them that as the consumer, I am aware that I had a year after my purchase for the samaung warranty. Back & forth with them for almost a year, leaving me on hold for over 40 min at a time, transferring me over 7 times each call, i had enough. I then contacted the BBB & advised them of Everything that had been said & done. The BBB contacted samsung & were told that they will now repair the tablet. I told the BBB that they were Not telling the truth. I told the BBB that I no longer wanted the samsung tablet & that I wanted ALL money spent on it returned. Samsung told the BBB that they would honor my request.... Well, they LIED...AGAIN! placed many calls to samsung for months again!!! I then contacted the BBB again. After the BBB contacted samsung again, samsung told them that they will refund my money. After months passed i mailed the tablet back to samsung with the requested receipt & serial number. Samsung LIED AGAIN!!! They attempted to repair the tablet & damaged it even more!!!! Now i own a broken $400 tablet that i can do nothing with....I Promise I will NEVER buy Another samsung product in this Lifetime!!

Samsung It's kind of ironic that I read a report of the same behavior the same company in the same state given to my wife about her phone. at first her phone would charge then you would have to adjust the charger just get a charge finally it go to the point where it was just too much so we took it to the sprint store and just as always they suggested we send it to the manufacturer. so we we did and they came up with exact same story about the motherboard and now it won't charge at all and they expected her to pay $239 to fix it. I'm really disappointed that the company does not take pride in their products enough to fix or replace them without this kind of hassle. Texas

Home Depot advertisec a $600 rebate on a set of four Samsung appliances. Sent the rebate in immediately. Got a response in 4 weeks - denied because ""The retailer from your receipt was not a qualifying retailer for this offer""

I've seen a few other people say they got the same response for other items purchased from other vendors. It seems Samsung has a few canned responses they send out as denials, and I got one of them.

I've also seen this kind of scam before (from TigerDirect) and am all too familiar with it. Doubt I'll get my rebate, but at least HomeDepot has a good return policy! It sickens me that they've stooped this low. I'll be avoiding Samsung items for the forseeable future.
