My family has been involved with Sanchez Hughley and Hughley Hoopsters for over 4 years, and I can honestly say this man HAS CHANGED MY KIDS LIVES FOR THE BETTER!! He truly cares about all the kids in the organization!! He started with 1 or 2 teams and has built it into a large family-oriented business. There have been growing pains, but he always does his best to make sure every kid has what he needs to improve on and off the court!
Of course there are fees for uniforms and torunaments!! There is also gym fees that have to be paid! Anyone who thinks these things are free are CRAZY!! Hughley Hoopsters takes in many scholarship kids that otherwise would not be able to play basketball. Sanchez coaches, teaches and most all helps them become better young men!! His entire coaching staff give their heart and soul to help kids from 3rd grade to high school learn the sport of basketball and to love it!!
He requires that all players maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Every report card has to be turned in for approval and if you don't make the grade, you come to practice and get help with your schoolwork from other parents and older kids!! Where else can you find that kind of caring!!
It is so very sad that there are parents out there who don't appreciate the good work this organization does!!! They are most likely the crazy parents who think their kids are going to the NBA. Get real people!!! Stop raising spoiled brats who don't know how to behave in life!!!
