This School messed up my life as well as my childerns. Terry who is a recruiter at the school told me that the only way for me to get into the ultrasound program was to go to the medical assisting program first and that I would be able to use my credits from the medical assisting program toward the ultrasound program. I was young and naive did not know all the in's and outs... I believed her. After I finished I found out that I still need more credits for the ultrasound program. They promised job placement and they did not help. After many job interviews that I found I realized that all the Offices only wanted to hire experienced Medical assistants. long story short I never found a job as a medical assistant the school did not help after and I have alot of debt because of them. Now older I understand all of the bull they sold and they need to be stopped.

I attend Sanford brown college in October 2005-may2005. I was in the respiratory therapy program. I was told before I made my decision to attend here that they in fact had the bridge program to cross over from a certified therapist to a registered therapist, that was not true! I also was told that they had job placement. My sister got me a job, Sanford brown did not! I was told they were accredited and I could transfer to another school if I wished; however, my credits would not transfer anywhere! I am not working in the field I went to Sanford brown for, yet I am still paying for this program which is approximately $27,000!

I attended and finish this school last year in September. While being recruited I was told that my grades will reflect where I work once it's time for me to start my internship. An "A" would get me an externship at the hospital; B would get me placed at an clinic while a C would get me place at an medical office. Well I manage to graduate with a 3.6 GPA and worked at a medical office. I managed to do my part when in the end all career services did was arranged 5 interviews. Only for me to be discriminated upon due to my age, and me having a child. I manage to have 5 different recruiters place me at jobs that don't relate to my internship. Now it has gotten to the point I hardly get a phone call from the recent recruiter whose assigned to me. I recently went to a career fair given at the school and each company told me they were not hiring to explaining to me I need a yr experience to be consider for a job. Now Im a stuck jobless single mother whose in a 7k debt trying to figure out where to go from here.

I was enrolled in the medical billing and coding program for a year. Long story short the school was ghetto. Dirty. didn't have good vibes at all. Anyways, I continued to go. once my 1 year was up, the instructors told me that the school would help me/pay for me to go get the testing done to get my certificate. Mind you, the school was shutting down for good. i did not get a call or email or a letter stating that the school was shutting down. Needless to say I did not attend graduation because they made it sound like we would be getting an awesome ceremony.. To only find out that it would be light refreshments and a few people can come to the graduation ceremony. Anyways after I was done my program I wanted to take my test for the certification/diploma, I called the school, emailed the program directors everything I could do. Nobody got back to me on how to go about doing this. I got cheated out of taking my test to become certified for what I went to school for. I am enraged. Now I have to pay out of pocket for it but that's besides the point. ignorant and disrespectful if you ask me. They should have done they're job. Period.

They really need to better screen the teachers that they have teaching the Surgical Techology Daytime course you may have been a good Surigcal Tech out in the field, but everone good in their field can not and should not teach. The Daytime teacher Ms Washington is the worst teacher that I have ever had not only can she not teach but when you try to tell her that what she just said was wrong she becomes very defensive and nasty. She tried to embarsse you infront of the class tries to make you feel stuipd. She never goes over any test she just gives back your test and tells you to figure out what you got wrong. This is a 20.000.00 dollar course 5000 I am paying out of pocket I in her class 5 1/2 hours Mon-Thur the entire class complains about her but no one wants to speak up. It sad that you spend the kind of money and recieve that kind of abuse

I was looking for another line of work. I picked what i thought I would like and enjoy. I worked my job from monday to friday and went to school every saturday and sunday all day. Then spent the week doing homework after working all day with infant-toddlers.

I passed and finished as valedictorian as well as taking and passing my certification test. I wanted to give myself the best possible change of getting a job in this field. I got a job in a collection agency with a polite program they were trying. This was a mistake I did not see at that time. After three years it was slowing down and they scraped the program and, I was laid off. I could not get a job anywhere in the medical billing & coding field, because the question of the day was. Do you have hospital experience? No, well you need hospital experience.

The school should have only had hospital externship for the billing and & coding students since that is the only job recognized as having given you experience. They outlined what would happen when it was time to pick an intership but, it did not happen as they said. When I came back for help with my resume I did all the work and the counselor's didn't return calls or they left and a new one was assigned. I felt they didn't care since I had graduated and I went back to my old career. Except now I have a bill I'm paying on with know hopes of ever getting a job in that field. Total waste of fifteen months of time, and thousands of dollars that I cannot afford but I have to pay.
