I have 4 month old twin boys n a 9, 12, and 14 year old girls. Last November my ex got me hooked on heroin. For 2 months I used (did not shoot!))) When I found out I was pregnant I signed myself into detox to get clean. I was put on subutex. Due to a certain someone stealing my subutex and constantly putting me in withdrawal I opted to be put on a methadone program so there weren't any drugs in my home.
The subutex Dr told me I could be weaned from methadone during pregnancy so my babies wouldn't be born addicted. Well he lied!! I started methadone (which the nearest clinic is 1 hour and 15 minutes from my home!!) and I have continued to attend group therapy and individual therapy since last april. My twins were born august 7th and were in the hospital for 7 weeks. For the ENTIRE 7 weeks I lived with them in a room with my ex. 2days before being released cps contacts us and tells us we need 24/7 supervision in order to take our twins home. We did it. There were 3 times my ex called cps because we had an hour gap with no supervision (he's an idiot!!) So cps took us back to court and my ex was ordered to his sisters home with my twins. I wasnt allowed there. This happened Halloween day. Since then I've had barely any contact with my sons and cps is suppose to bring my daughters to me 1 hour a week. They've canceled the last 3 out of 4 visits!
I also go to a psychologist because I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have faithfully gone to every appt go to the clinic 5 days a week now and work 1-3 jobs at all times. I have missed all the milestones with my twins. This last Friday cps lifted my ex's supervision and refuse to lift mine because I am on methadone (ILLEGAL!!) My ex is also the one who has been a heroin addict for the last 10 years is on probation and doesn't have a license. He is also the one who got my daughters taken away. When I went yo detox he swore to stay clean for 1.5 days till my girls went with my parents. He didn't!! And that's why cps became involved to begin with. I have an LPN degree but I can't ever use it because I was charged with neglect because I trusted him to watch my girls for that 1.5 days. There's alot more to this story and it is all so unbelievable and illegal. I can't handle any more of this and I don't have the $ to hire a good lawyer. I literally was paying $30 a day to drive to my ex's sisters to watch the twins sleep. I had to have 1 job just to pay for gas. Cps has refused to do anything to make it possible for me to have my kids. I've gone above and beyond to get my kids back and they gave them to my ex who may I add, has been going behind my back and making everyone think I'm crazy. My psychologist and my counselor at the clinic has told cps that I am more than able to have all my kids WITHOUT SUPERVISION!! Cps refuses to listen to them.
I've known from day 1 cps or my ex were never gonna allow me to be a mother to any of my kids. I've told anyone who will listen and nobody will help me
