complete f----ng crooks

The operators of this Seattle-Theatre.com do a very good job at presenting themselves as legitimate ticket sellers.... the site shows up first in the google search results… they use copyrighted promotional materials… but watch out. Ultimately I ended up paying over four times face value and... get this... the event was not even sold out.

Shortly after purchasing the tickets to Matilda the Musical I realized something was amiss, so I called the phone support number. I then learned that the company that operates the site isn’t even in Seattle, though the site is clearly branded to make it appear local.

When the tickets ultimately arrived I though it odd that the price was not printed on the tickets. A few hours later I went back to the computer and tried to locate the seats, which I couldn’t on Seattle-Theatre.com. I then searched for the venue’s website and discovered that I was given lowly tickets for seats located in the far back corner of the upper mezzanine. Adjacent seats where selling for $29. Seattle-Theatre.com charged me $105 per ticket plus service and delivery fees…. $250 total.

The first two times I called the Seattle-Theatre.com support number they hung up on me. On the third call I immediately requested that the agent stay on the phone and listen to my complaint. He did… but only told me that they offer a valuable service and that they do not give refunds. “Valuable?” Right? More like ‘Thieving’.

Obviously the operators of this site have not morals. Go somewhere else.

Long story… but since I purchased these tickets as a gift and felt bad giving something so needlessly shitty, so I ended up going to the venue’s website and buying much better seats for a lesser price.

On Sep 14, 2014 I purchased threee tickets to the 5th Ave Theatre production of Kinkyboots at this site. This site came up first in search results, uses the copyrighted artworks for the show, and presents itself as the venue's website. Well, couldn't be farther from the truth.

The sale went through GoodyTickets.com, and said they would be shipped by Oct 3. When I didn't received a tracking number by the 3rd, I contacted them. Turns out the tickets they sold me didn't actually exist. I was pressured to accept balcony seats was was ofference a $60 price adjustment. I had to take it or leave it within 45 seconds.

The website showed a new, increased price, for balcony seats of $340/seat for the tickets, so I went ahead and accepted.

Bad mistake. Once I got off the phone, I poked some more and discovered that the site was not affiliated with 5th Ave, and in fact was a London outfit.

The $340/seat tickets were still available on 5th Ave's site for $95 each.

Scam, scam, scam.
