LOAN MODIFICATION

AS WITH ALL OF THE OTHER LOANS WITH SELENE OURS WAS WITH BOA TOO. I WONDER IF SELENE IS PART OF BOA. THEY PROMISED TO MODIFY MY LOAN AND REDUCE MY PAYMENT TO AN AFFORDABLE PAYMENT. WHICH MEANS THEY TAKE EVERY DIME THEY CAN GET FROM YOU. WE HAVE PAID THIS TRIAL PAYMENT FOR 9 MONTHS ALWAYS PAID AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE DUE DATE. WHEN I GOT THE MODIFICATION PAPERS I DID NOT NOTICE A 30 YEAR PAYMENT SCHEDULE. AFTER SEARCHING OTHER PAGES OF THE CONTRACT I FOUND A PAGE THAT SAID THERE WAS A BALLOON PAYMENT. THAT MEANS TO ME THAT I WOULD MOST LIKELY LOSE MY HOUSE WHEN THE BALLOON PAYMENT WAS DUE. THERE ARE MORE LIES THEY TOLD US BUT I WILL DEAL WITH THEM IF THEY OFFER ME A GOOD MODIFICATION. THERE WERE OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS ON OUR LOAN WITH BOA. SENENE WAS TOLD THAT ONLY MYSELF AND MY WIFE WOULD BE ON THE NEW LOAN. THEY SAID THAT WAS FINE BUT THEY WOULD REMAIN ON OUR DEAD IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO US. THEY WOULD GET THE HOUSE. THE NEW CONTRACT HAD ALL OF US ON IT AND DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THEM NOT BEING ON THE CONTRACT AND JUST BEING ON THE DEAD. WE KEEP PAYING THEM BECAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO BE PUT OUT ON THE STREET. WE ARE SENIORS AND LIVING ON SOCIAL SECURITY IS NOY EASY. WE SPENT ALL OF OUR SAVINGS ON TRYING TO GET LOAN MODIFICATIONS WITH BOA.

Avoid this mortgage company with every bone in your body.

for most of the 15 years we lived in our last house we had our mortgage with Bank of America there never was a single problem and then with out notice they sold our mortgage to Selene Financial. I know this happens in the real estate market and we wouldnt of mind but almost immediately we started having problems with this company. The first thing they started was that we were behind in our payments which i have all documented proof that we were not. but they drove us crazy with all there lies trying to collect late fees and interest. only after i got a attorney and he put them in there place did they finally leave us alone. but not one month after our attorney straightned them out they tried it again. the attorney again put them in there place instantly but all the hassle drove us crazy. and of course attorneys are not free. then after 3 years of dealing with them we decided to sell our home and guess what, they started there s**t again. they first tried to say we owed them for a complete monthly payment. we worked with and checked with the title and escrow company and this of course was a lie. When all the title work and escrow work was done it showed them owing us almost a thousand dollars. so of course they tried to denie it and say we owed them $600.00. i sent and showed them the paper work and they tried to denie it AGAIN. so far they have backed off but they wont send us the money they owe us. Hopefully this will settle it self but i dont count on it. I do say if you can avoid this scam insistent company with all your powers please do it. they are out to do anything they can to collect bogus money. i will report if i ever recieve the $1,000.00 they owe us. thank you

No notice

I agree. I never received any notification that my mortgage was sold by BoA to Selene Finance until I called to make a payment. When something important like a mortgage is sold, the bank should notify at least by both mail and email (if on file)

Bank of America sold my loan to Selene Finance. Bank of America said I was with them through August 01, 2014; so I submitted payment. On August 29th, I received a letter from Selene Finance LP, stating they hadn't received my payment due on the first of August and I was being charged a late fee of $49.00. They also said my credit would be tarnished. That was the first notification of anything about my loan with Selene.

The 1st does not always fall on payday, Selene Finance does not allow a grace period of by the 12th or 16th. If it is not in by the 1st, another late fee applies. I know have another late fee because payday isn't until Friday. I live pay check to pay check and I have always paid my mortgage payment.

This isn't right and there should be a grace period of 30 days if a loan is sold between companies. The bad thing is the consumer gets caught in the middle of an overnight sale.
