They do not have the freight or miles they say they do they leave you sitting in docks for hours without pay they do not care as long as their freight is delivered you have to make sure it is delivered on time which I did. then I got to sit in the dock for free. your time means nothing to them it's all about the money in their pockets. they will give you a nice truck to drive I will say that. of course the owner of Sharkey who owns the trucks he sells them who owns Mack truck although I gotta say most of the trailers they have are junk the sliders don't work. Tires are wore out the caps are ready to fly off then I have guys running around in the drivers room bragging how they can run through Pennsylvania with 81000 lbs little does he know that would go on his licence Not Sharkey although it would go on there review .Sharkey Transportation is definitely not a place I would send anyone. the Dispatcher don't even know whether they're coming or going. I got the brains of a piss ant I call these kind of people travel agents they don't care as long as you get there. I have to say Jack Sharkey has got his cuckoos doing whatever he wants them to do just like a good little poppets are supposed to do. as far as I'm concerned he can take his trucks here's Dispatcher and his little cuckoos and his orientation pay in a sign on bonus and all the b******* And cram it straight up there a**. I actually believe bet they are getting ready to go belly up. they do not have what they say they have they are definitely liars
I was called by a Sharkey recruiter about employment as a OTR driver. I asked if they had any smoke free trucks? The recruiter asked why? I stated that I am a disabled veteran and that some of the medications the VA has me on makes me sensitive to cigarette smoke. The recruiter said I can't help you and how are you in this industry and don't smoke in a very rude tone. The recruiter also stated if you are disabled you shouldn't have a CDL. I called back and talked to his supervisor, but I'm sure it fell on deaf ears? I am also a part-time driving instructor and definitely will not ever recommend Sharkey to anyone.
