A few months ago Brandi Secher called me and asked if my hanbag designer would do a trunk show at her store in Glencoe.
I agreed and we set up dates to have the trunk show. We sent around 30,000 dollars worth of merchandise over to her store for the trunk show.
Many pieces were sold at the trunk show and we were never paid the $20,000 we were owed and are still owed.
After contacting Brandi about the payment she gave me, my reps and our designer a run around full of lies, She stalled for a couple of months telling us that our payment was tied up in accounting and that she would get it resolved. Nothing ever happend so we contacted the Illinois State DA who told us spend money and file a lawsuit. As we prepare to file a claim with the state Sherise closed their doors in the middle of the night.
We sent her a letter of demand for payment. Upon recieving the letter she had Paulett Kirschner call me and threaten me. She put a man on the phone to also threaten me. Not sure why they needed to threaten me when they are in the wrong and did not pay us for our merchandise and owe us a whopping $20,000.00
When we found out fron Paulette that they had paid their Big Accounts and left us out - we were even more insulted.
I contacted the local police to file a theft complaint and they infomed me about the move out in the middle of the night. The office / investigator also told me that they had recieved numerous calls over the past few days about the same thing. That Shirise had moved left their clients hanging with gift cards they could never use and merchandise undelivered.
