I ordered Ready To Assemble kitchen cabinets from shoprtacabinets.com on March 26 and received a comfirmation order number minutes later. The company did not use credit cards indicating it was to save money and asked that I provide a bank account number which I did. I later checked reviews of the company and saw that they had several complaints of scams. I tried to stop the company from withdrawing funds from my account the next day but was too late.

On April 7 I sent email requesting ETA of cabinets. On April 8 I received the following: Your order is shipping next week from our Illinois warehouse.

On April 17 I sent another email requesting tracking number, but received no reply

On April 20 I sent the following: I have not received a response to my submitted tickets and in fact it keeps showing I have not submitted a ticket. Your system also shows I have no orders, although you sent me an email accepting the order and billing my checking account more than 1600 dollars. Two weeks ago you sent me an email stating cabinets would ship last week. Have they shipped and if so is there a tracking number? Do you have a new ship date? I received no reply.

On April 22 I sent the following: I have emailed you twice since receiving the email below. I have tried calling and using your ticket submit. However I have receive no response. Therefore I can only consider this consumer fraud. I will buy cabinets from a company I have used before and I am turning this over to my attorney for further action. Shame on you.

I received an immediate response as follows: James, That is not necessary. If you would like to cancel your order please respond to this stating that and we will cancel and issue a refund. Thank you

I responded asking for a full refund and received the following: A refund check will be issued to you within 7 days to the address on your order.

After numerious emails I have not received my refund nor any further communications.

This 'company' advertises on tv, it has very persuasive customer videos and photos but all is not what it seems.

On 3/13/15 I ordered and paid for cabinets from this company, they do not accept credit cards or checks (to keep costs down) so I paid via bank draft.

I was informed my order should ship within 2-4 weeks. 4 weeks later I tried to contact the company regarding delivery.

The phone has a recorded message that tells you to email customer service.

Email is met with auto response.

I have had a reply from Heather Bertucci in their customer service dept. I was informed that my cabinets would ship in 2-8 weeks.

The next reply I received was after I had made a complaint to the Chicago area BBB, check them out, this business has an F rating and is the subject of a lawsuit from the Illinois Attorney Generals office. http://www.illinoisattorneygeneral.gov/pressroom/2015_04/20150413.html

That reply stated they would ship my cabinets asap.

Today after sending 4 support tickets I received this reply:

[Yes we are behind in processing orders . If you would like to cancel that is not a problem. Please respond with your cancelation and we will do so and issue a refund]

I have replied requesting a full refund immediately, this was met with another automated message.

I am disappointed that this company continues to trade, advertise and take unsuspecting folks money and hide behind auto messages and the internet.

Prior to placing my order i asked the company the expected shipping time on the cabinets. I was told by Mary it would be 2-4 weeks. I placed my order on March 31 and paid a 2-Day Quick Ship fee which purports to get the cabinets on the truck within two days of the payment clearing.

I was told on April 9th by Mary that she would check on my order and get back to me. She never did.

I again contacted them on 4/22 and they responded that this was the first time they heard there was a problem and that they would ship the cabinets to me this past week.

I have tried repeatedly through multiple ways to contact ShopRTACabinets and they have ignored every ticket, email and phone message.

I ordered the Chocolate Maple Cabinets on Feb. 25th, 2015. i paid the $450 for the 2 day expedited guaranteed shipment in 2 days. i was contacted by Maria informing me that the cabinets I ordered were on back order and asked if I would except the Expresso cabinets and 5% off the cabinets, I agreed and the money was taken out of my account on the 26th of Feb. I was told as soon as the cabinets shipped I would receive a tracking number. I waited 4 days and no tracking number . I tried calling and no one answers the phone there ever. So I emailed and got nothing for 3 more days saying I would be getting the number soon. A few more days go by and no number so I emailed again several times finally after over two weeks I get a tracking number. I emailed and ask for a refund of my $450. I was told I would get a refund. i was also missing a cabinet and was told it was on back order two weeks later still no cabinet I emailed over 30 times asking about my refund and my cabinet. I got to answers and both gave me tracking numbers to my missing cabinet and both were lies. I contact UPS and nothing was ever shipped to me. its been two months and I can't get anyone to contact me email or phone about my refund. So now I have an unfinished kitchen and was ripped off for the $450 and my 5% I was told I would receive. I wish I would have did more research about this company. Look them up at the Chicago BBB they are an F rated Company. They arel liares and will not contact you back.

On November 5th, 2014 we placed an order with ShopRTACabinets.com for $2793.00 of kitchen cabinets. The website advertised 2 to 6 weeks for shipping (which has subsequently been changed to 4 to 8 weeks). It has been 17 weeks and we have not received our order and even though we have made a number of inquiries regarding the status. As of 1/7/15, the company has failed to respond any inquiries I have made. A quick internet search shows that the company is well-known for this type of fraud and has operated under a number of different company names.

Going to keep it simple: Ordered cabinets September 2014. Delivery date came and went, numerous attempts to contact Shop RTA were unsuccessful. I tried phoning and the online contact ticket system. Finally reached owner Frank LaMark, who sometimes goes by "Mike"-he says cabinets were delayed, be in mid October. He states the best way to contact him is email. Mid October comes and goes. I have an open BBB Chicago case, they can't reach him. October 30 a truck shows up- I have 4 boxes coming, they bring 2. Of those two one was the wrong color and both had damage. I immediately emailed LaMark demanding full refund. He never responds. BBB ends up closing the case because LaMark refuses to respond. They downgrade him on their system but can't do anymore. They refer me to State of Illinois for fraud complaint. State does follow-up but so far they haven't shut him down. City of Chicago has an open file against him as well- contact both the state and the city (City of Chicago Business Affairs & Consumer Protection, Gus Apostolos) to add your complaint.

Do not shop with this company. Wish I had checked thi site first. I ordered cabinets in November 2014. Mid January still no word from the company. Had already recevied my money since it was an electronic check. Contacted my bank explained the fraud due to electronic check they couldn't help me. Started looking into the company more....

Frank Lamark has a long rap sheet of fraud. He is attached to a yahoo email we received correspondence from. Then began to look at BBB and no one is happy with them. I saw that people had to complete an internet crime report with FBI, call Law enforcement to report the crime and the attorny general.

I emailed the company letting them know I prefer to handle the issue amongst us. I received a reply back that they would issue me a refund check within 10 business days. This time frame has come and gone so now I will continue with the above list. I will continue to post on my facebook page to not purchase with them.

This is not a legit company regardless of how nice a website they have. Their FB page is monitored closely and all my friends who hve posted about them being fraudulent has been deleted and then we were blocked.
