Sierra Auction Phoenix Reviews

Purchased a Spanish Shotgun at Auction in May of 2012. Everything went well. I paid in full, all fees and shipping. The gun arrived damaged. I immediately contacted Chris Rushord, who was their Surplus Inventory Manager via e-mail. He responded, "Thank you for the pictures. I am looking into filing a claim with USPS. I will keep you posted." His response then via e-mail was, "You're going to have to go down to your local post office and get a claim form to file the claim. They said they will also have to see the damaged package and merchandise. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional help. Thank you, Chris Rushford." So I go to Post Office to get claim forms, and am told that I need shipping tracking number and ask for Chris Rushford via e-mail for that information. During this time the gun is at the dealer where I had it shipped. The stock was cracked during shipping because it was an absolutely shameful packing and shipping job. So once again via e-mail I am sent the shipping information to file a claim with USPS. So two weeks after submitting my claim with the tracking number provided by Chris Rushford at Sierra Auction, I am told by USPS that my claim is denied because there is NO INSURANCE. I was again provided a complete shipping label form Sierra Auction that claimed to have insurance which I had to attach to my USPS appeal on the intitial denial of claim. This appeal was denied as USPS stated there was no insurance coverage. I emailed for the next three months with no response. No one has responded and no one has claimed responsibility for damaged to the shipped item. I have followed Sierra Auctions directions in a timely fashion and they have just passed the proverbial "buck" by saying they had insurance when their own records that they provided to me which were in turn provided directly to USPS were denied. So I am left with a damaged item that I am left to repair due to Sierra's negligence in not properly addressing this matter by either not having insurance or if claiming they had insurance they utterly failed to remedy the situation by stepping in since they claimed to have it and it was being denied by USPS or stepping forward and making the damge right by offering to repair the damage. However, none of this was done as Sierra has chosen to not respond in a professional or responsible way. I would never make another purchase from them and would recommend that buyer beware.
