Called Simply Prepaid to get a Cell Phone Unlocked and was told they could do it and it will take about an hour and was quoted $40.00 over phone. When I got to their location I was told my phone needed to be unlocked and imei changed or clean as they called it. Was told it could be done in 1 hour and the cost would be 90.00, I said I was quoted 40.00 over the phone so they said they will only charge me 80.00 So I left my phone there to be repaired. .... A hour goes by and not done yet, a day goes by and not done yet, on the third day I went to store and was told that AT&T has 5 days to release the new imei number and unblock it, so I said ok and came back 4 days later, thus giving them 7 days to repair my phone. It wasnt ready yet, so by then I said just give me my phone back. I was told I would have to pay the full 80.00 to get my phone back, I asked why and they said cuz the process was already started, and I said but nothing has been done with my phone and they replied but the process has already started. SO I said ok im calling the cops and they said go ahead, to my surprise, the cops called me back and told me there was nothing that could be done cuz it was a civil matter thus they could keep my phone or I had to pay 80.00 for nothing. The guy at the store wen I told him what the cops said, he looked at me and smiled and said, I know that, I do this all day long. WOW.......
