Sleepy's Reviews

Over 4,500 for a mattress that lasted less than six months ! Purchased a Kingsdown "Sleeping Beauty" Advantage mattress from Sleepy's Aug. 3, 2014! Already has a big mound in the center of the mattress from top to bottom and has gone to "mush" in the middle! So much so,that you wake in the middle of the night and have to "pull" yourself out and up to get your head back on the pillow! Went to Sleepy's today to find out and complain and was told to call their 800 number and a "mattress professional" would take care of it. The "mattress professional" would inspect the mattress!"

Well, the so called "mattress professional" is a piece of paper they send you to lay over the mattress and YOU take a picture and email them and they decide your outcome! Big of them!! Not only that, I looked at the Kingsdown warranty, for the 1st time....OK, stupid on my part.......and they wont do anything unless it's sagging by an inch or inch and a half. I guess corporate office in Kingsdown doesn't sleep on their own mattresses! So, hear that also people....and inch and a half! Know what that does to your back??? Well if you don't, you'll know in the morning!

Sleepy's should take responsibilty of what they do and are just shrugging it off. I think that they think that most people would be discouraged by all that you have to do to file a complaint! Well, I am not one of them!

This is unacceptable........totally!

Chelsey the helpful sales person offered some ideas on bed beams.

During our discussion, I mentioned that I didn't know specifics length or width so I wanted to make certain that

I could return the product if the bed beams didn't work. They don't work and Chelsey mentioned that the box was opened and that their store has no room for the product. She also mentioned that she didn't "remember" promising me an option of returning.

The 800 number customer service department was just as useless as Chelsey

I strongly recommend that you use a mattress place other than Sleepy's or a department store that will not mislead you.

Our salesman, Mitch Goldman, was pushy and lied to us to make a sale. He called a manager to get pricing approval and they did the good old "if you buy it RIGHT NOW you'll get this price." We felt very rushed so we made sure to ask if we could return the mattress if we didn't like it, and Mitch Goldman said we could RETURN it within 21 days.

Well, we did not like the mattress, called to schedule a return and were told they do not accept returns, only exchanges.

Problem was never resolved, we're stuck with a mattress we don't like, and out $2000+

My wife and I ordered a mattress at a local Sleepy's after trying out several from several retailers. ($2300 California King, Serta iSeries). Sleepys had best offer and "satisfaction guarentee".

My wife is 5 months pregnant, I have 2 slipped discs in my back and I spent $2300 on a mattress that was defective from day 1. Sleepy's will not under any circumstance stand behind their product. Look up their lawsuits and settlements. We are out more money than we have ever spent on a mattress; money that we spent hoping to give my wife a comfortable pregnancy and me, relief from a spinal injury. It is a discrace that they are allowed to deliver a defective product and then cower behind their litigious shield. Bad people. Bad on them.

After the first day in our home after delivery it was clear that the mattress was defective. We called and 2 weeks later a 'certified mattress inspector' came out and looked at the bed. He assessed that bed had a 1" or more sag in it, took pictures of the mattress and left. The following day we were informed by Sleepy's that the sag did not qualify for a warranty, the sag had to be greater than an inch and a half.

We requested an exchange under their in home trial policy and they we had to pay a $150 delivery fee, which we refused to pay. After several hours on the phone, my wife finally got through to a 'manager' who agrees to waive the delivery fee.

On October 29th (Over two months after original delivery - mattress purchased on 08/03/2014) the delivery team arrived ith our new mattress. The driver came into my house, removed the old mattress, dragged it into an adjacent room to move it down the stairs and stopped. He said there was a stain on the mattress - I could not see it. Under protest the driver left my house with the new mattress he was supposed to deliver claiming the warranty was void. (Mind you this was not a warranty exchange, it was an in home satisfaction guarentee and there was no stain to-boot)

On the phone with Grace Ho ([email protected]) I agreeed to send pictures of the mattress (mistake FYI) so she could verify there were no stains, and then process a full refund. Of course Grace Ho writes back 24 hours later with the pictures marked up indicating that the buttons on the mattress were all stains....right.

Grace again offered to sell me another mattress at the cororate discount....If they actually get sales this way, god bless them. Sell me a defective product - don't stand behind the product -sell me another product to replace. They don't teach this crap in school, trust me, I know.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Grace indicated that is in charge of all the employees in charge of handling BBB complaints and that my complaint would not be effective. I told Grace that unless she has a full refund offer, we have nothing to talk about. The conversation escalated into a bitter exchange.

This company disgusts me! I reached out to the warranty department to have someone come out and look at the mattress we purchased from your company 4 years ago. The mattress had a 10 + year warranty and was sinking in.

My husband and I went to your East Longmeadow store to look at mattresses just in case we did receive the credit for our old mattress. We explained to your store manager Nick what was wrong with our other mattress and he contacted customer service to check the status of our credit and informed us that it was most likely going to be denied. He said he felt bad and wanted to make it up to us, so he said he would take a good amount of money off of whatever new mattress we wanted and we would have to pay the difference. We accepted and went ahead and paid out portion to receive a new mattress.

About a week and a half goes by and I received a letter in the mail with our credit for the original mattress worth $1500.00 We immediately contacted nick and told him we received a credit and asked what we could do about the mattress we just purchased. He said he was sorry that he wouldn't be able to refund us our $860.00 back but we could use the $1500.00 credit to purchase our daughter a new mattress. We went back to the store and ordered her the same mattress we just bought but in a different size and scheduled delivery for the following Sunday. About an hour ago we just received a call from one of the guys that works at the store saying the district manager will not allow the mattress to be delivered or for the credit to be used! Are you serious???

We have been lied to, taken advantage of, and manipulated by your East longmeadow store manager and are now out $860.00!! Well I am putting a call in to the better business bureau, and will be contacting my lawyer to file legal charges against this company. They refuse to refund me my money, and refuse to allow the credit to be used, so they have given me no other choice. Please think twice before buying a mattress from this company! They are not very good quality, and you can not believe a word they say!

I also called the customer care department tonight and they dont even know where to begin to try and attempt to fix this whole issue. They were trying to come up with a million different excuses that made absolutely no sense.

I will not stand for any of this, and I mean it when I say that this is unacceptable and I will be calling and filing a complaint with the better business bureau, the attorney general, and contacting my lawyer as well to file legal charges.

I'll bought the sleepy's mattress 3 years ago, and I was very careful with, whoever, somehow there is a small light yellowish stain on it, (very hard to see) and I had the waranty for 10 years, whoever these mattresses extremely low quality, and after 3 years, it looks like a cradle in the middle, under my 5 years old. So I went back to the store, they said, they will going to change it, and I'll paid another $60 for delivery. The delivery guy came, and he called the corp. office, (Melissa) and she informed me about something I had no idea 3 years ago when I'll bought the mattress (firs time, and last time, never again) that there is not suppose to have any kind of stain on it. I'm very clean, and the mattress is very clean also. No matter, because Sleepy's making a huge profit ripping us off, and making false promisses, that they never keep. So they kept my $60 I'll paid for the new mattress, they took it back, and no one cares about the waranty. According them, my mattress is suppose to look like a cradle after 3 years, because it was on sale!!!!! It was ONLY $600. God bless them. I hope they are going in to bankrupt and going to hell, all of them.

Sleepy's warrent is a ripoff. I brought a mattress from 1800mattress before both companies merged. After 4 years with the mattress the thing started to fall apart. The springs were coming out the sides of the mattress and the middle of the mattress is dented in. The dents is so bad that your can feel the box bed under the mattress. So i visted a Sleepy's location and explained to the manager that the mattress is on it's last leg and i would like to have the mattress covered under the warrenty. NOW HERE WHERE SLEEP'S SCAM COMES IN ! So the manager finds out that in October of 2014 our warranty will expire. So what he does is he says that he will have someone from Sleepy's customer service call us so that an inspector can come out and inspect the mattress. I said no problem i will be waiting for the Sleepy's rep phone call. About 3 months went by and i got no phone call from the Sleepys rep to set up the inspection of the mattress. Final i went back to the store and spoke to the manager and told him i have not received a phone call from the Sleepy's rep. So i waited in the store for a few minutes until he found out why i did not receive a phone call from the Sleepy's rep to set up the appointment with the inspector. He comes back to tell me that Sleepy's have been calling me for months and i did not answer my telephone. I found that weird because 1st i always have my cell phone on me and 2nd i check my voicemail on my cell phone everyday. From that point i knew i could not trust Sleepy's word if they said they called me everyday for the past 3 months. The mattress was brought from 1800mattress and not Sleepy's.

Sleepy's in January of 2013 replace the box spring under the warrenty without any issue. Now that my warrenty is coming to an end in October 2014 now Sleepy's is coming up with some medel bar going across the bottom of my medel frame that i never had that voids the warranty. SLEEPY'S NEED TO HONOR THE WARRENTY THAT COMES WITH THERE BEDS AND BOX SPRINGS. In 2008, 2009 anyone who brought a medel frame never had a medel bar with their frame.

I am really upset with my mattress but more so with Sleepy's. I bought it from Sleepy's in 2011 - although they were pretty pricey, I figured I would get a great quality mattress since ""you get what you pay for."" Well in this circumstance, that is not true! I paid $899.99 for the mattress alone (not including the box spring and the mattress protector so I could keep my ""warranty"" which totaled to about $1100-1200). I have been doing everything right with this mattress; I ALWAYS have the protector on and I rotate the bed. I don't even sleep on it more than 3 or 4 nights out of the week and after 2 1/2 years, the bed has two sink holes!!!

I contacted Sleepy's and they had a tech come out to look at the bed. After speaking to a customer rep regarding the tech's reports, apparently, though there is some sagging and two indents on both the right and left side of the bed, it is still within manufacturer specs! Are you kidding me?! I am 100 pounds and even when I lay in the bed, it feels like I'm at the bottom of a hill. When my 175 pound boyfriend sleeps in bed with me, NEITHER of us can get a good sleep because he's in a sink hole and I'm rolling into him! We would get a better night's sleep on the floor! It's absolutely ridiculous. I was told to contact them and that they would ""work with me"" on the price of a new mattress. I am NOT buying another piece of crap mattress from sleepy's so I can be another $900 in the hole in 2 1/2 years from now. I am beyond frustrated with this company! AVOID SLEEPYS! They do not stand beside their mattresses! Go for your local mattress manufacturer or Bob's Discount Furniture. I could have spent half what I did to buy a junk mattress!! I would never recommend Sleepy's to
