I flew from San Diego, CA to Denver, CO on Sunday July 26th. I placed my brand new black new wayfer Ray Ban sunglasses that i recieved from my brother as a birthday gift on Friday July 24th into their case and into my checked bag directly infront of the women that checked my bag in San Diego International Airport.

Upon arival to Denver the sunglasses were no longer in my bag. I have been told to call the San Diego airport Spirit baggae claim phone number they told me to call the Denver Spirit Airlines bagage clain number I have been calling them since they opened and left over 25 voicemails and no one is calling me back.

I called the coprate Spirit phone number and have to try and make a reservation just to talk to anyone and then they just tell me to call those same numbers again. I called and a woman told me to file a report and hand deliver it to the Denver airport. But then the next person i talked to on the phone told me i need to mail it in but don't worry about haveing it notarized... The next person told me to file a police report. The next person told me its unfortunatne but theres really nothing they can do about it.....

I still haven't heard form Denver's Spirirt baggae call center. They were $120 and a gift!!! I just want someone to call me back and tell me EXACTLY what I REALLY need to do to get them replaced. I have never flown Spirirt Airlines I have ALWAYS flown Southwest and I will NEVER fly Spirit Airlines again. I have never felt so disrespected an violated by a comapny in my entire travel experiences.

On May26, my sister and I were flighting to Colombia on flight Y7SMVC. This flight was cancelled. I paid $55.00 for 2 bags in cash. I received a credit voucher for this amount ( IROP34837)for my next trip.

On May 30th for the reschedule flight the people at the front desk told me that I had to pay $60.00 and this time I paid it with visa card. I didn't understand why I had to pay twice.

I want my $55.00 dollars back that I paid in cash initially from Crediy Shell IROP 34837.

On June when I returned from Colombia I called Spirit and they told me that I would be receiving the $55.00 dollars in 20 days. It's been 20 days and I haven't received anything.

Pleace refound the amount of $55.00

Since I did not have a ticket I arrived at the airport two hours early, checked in my suitcase and went to the indicated gate. Since it was very crowded and I was so early I sat at another open area which was very noisey. As it got close to my flight time I went back to the gate and the flt was not on the board. They also did not have any type of billboard showing flts coming and going times as other airlines do. So I finally asked someone at the desk and she exclaimed I was at the wrong gate and they made an announcement which I never heard. I rushed over to that gate (the plane had not left but most people had boarded) and they told me I had to be there 15 minutes early and I told them I was there two hours early. They told me to go back to the main entrance to try to get on another flight. I am sure they gave my seat to a standby. I was never paged by my name which other airlines would have done. I thought I would try this airlines since the price was reasonable but I see now they over book. I wrote a letter to their office and they never really answered me except by email saying it was my fault. I do not have a smart phone and I was traveling alone or this would not have happened. Now I lost $300 between luggage checking in and transportation to and from airport and the ticket. I paid for insurance too and they saidd they do not cover these situation. I am on social security and I know I am not the only person that this has happened to. They next day when I went to pick up my suitcase another lady was arguing with manager that the same thing happened to her and she was in tears. Now I do not want to travel by air ever again. Please help me find some justice here. THank you, Shirley H

I booked two tickets with Spirit Airlines to fly from Las Vegas to LAX.

Spirit Flight No 719

Date: May 9th, 2015.

As I was doing my online check in a message displayed that the flight was delayed and instead of departure at 7:55pm , it was going to be at 8:41pm.

I called up the customer service just to reconfirm and was given the same message.

But when I reached the airport, to my utter shock and fright, I saw on the display TV that it was on time ie: 7:55pm. I was about to have a panic attack. As per the original time we were to board the plane at 7:10 pm and it was 7:05 pm at the security check in [TSA]. I was more in a rush to board the plane, hence, decided to just head to the TSA check rather than waste my time on seeing whether my trolley requires to be bag checked in or not. I just pit it in the fitting box they have & I removed it and was quickly on my way to the boarding gate.

Being a visitor in US, I was travelling with my daughter and I didn't want her to get troubled and all worked by telling her what was really going on.

As we walked towards the gate B23 as mentioned in my boarding pass, I kept a smiling face. But in reality, I could hear my heart beat so fast. I almost felt as though it was going to stop any time.

Thankfully, I soon reached the area near gates B 23 and 24. Just to confirm. .. ONCE AGAIN, I asked the lady standing at the kiosk, about the confusion regarding the time and the boarding gate and she told me that its gaye B24 and flight is on time.

When I looked at the boarding gate... There was no plane there. Some how, I just calmed myself and walked up to gate B24 to check. The flight scheduled for departure from that gate was for Dallas.

Just adjacent to gate B 24 was B 23 and the display TV said its for LA and the flight has been delayed.

I informed my friend in LA about the flight status and she told me that according to her information its on time.

Suddenly, I hear that my flight is boarding.

At the boarding gate, I was told that I had to pay $100 for my trolley bag!!! Really!!! Had all the time confusion not happened, I would have had it all settled well in time.

What was supposed to be a fun and a nostalgic trip started on such a bad and an ugly note and costed me over $200!!!

So much of confusion and last minute changes. Does Spirit Airlines understand how much of discomfort and stress it caused?

I was scheduled to fly Sprit from Los Cabos, Mex. to San Diego @ 245 P.M. I had purchased this flight from Cheap Tickets as well as a car rental. I was delayed @ the car agency about 1 hour & used the agency shuttle to get to the terminal. I arrived @ Spirit Airlines ticket counter 40 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time & was told that my ticket was now forfeit because their policy required that you pick up your boarding pass 1 hour or more before scheduled departure. The flight was delayed & subsequently left Los Cabos more than 4 hours later than scheduled. In effect, I had tried to check in almost 5 hours before the plane departed but had to purchase a ticket on another airline because I had arrived less than 60 minutes prior to SCHEDULED departure time. The attitude & demeaner of the agent was rude & unfriendly. Do not fly with this poorly spirited airline.

Do NOT buy "$9 Club" membership from Spirit!! Like everything else about this airline, it is a SCAM! You may find a cheaper flight using the membership, however, you must remember to CANCEL the membership. If you don't you'll be charged $59.95 on your credit card a year later... and, the year after that... and the year after that.

And, you can't cancel it right after you use it... with the idea that you can continue to benefit from the membership for the rest of the year. When you cancel, it stops the benefits immediately. You lose the ability to buy discounted tickets for the rest of the year.
