Stanley Warranty Reviews

  • Jun 10, 2015

Purchased a home warranty through this company on Sept 22nd 2014. Attempted to call to schedule a service call for my AC unit and after receiving an email (Tuesday)that someone would contact me to set up a time and date the waiting game began. I was supose to recieve a call on a Thursday but nothing so I called on Friday and a man answered and I expressed my displeasure for not being contacted to be scheduled he went ahead and scheduled it for me. (he was very apologetic but based on the outcome he could care less) He scheduled it for the up coming Monday June 8th 2015 between 8:30am-6:30pm and he even gave me the technician number (Victor) but when I called Victor his phone rang once and then went to VM but the voicemail was not setup yet (which that should of been a red flag right there) Anyway to make an extremely long story short after contacting these people every other day for the last 2 weeks...NOTHING>>>so basically they scammed me for $459.00 the cost of warranty plan. I checked their BBB after the fact which for now on I will check ahead of time and the company has 518 complaints and a F rating. So do not ...I repeat...do not give these con artists your money.

I paid for the full year gold membership once i closed on my home nov. 2014. I was told I'll receive my official docs in the mail after I make payment. I was given a poilcy number till I recieve my docs in the mail. They emailed me the invoice with my policy number (all seem legit at this point). Keep in mind, everytime I called sales I ALWAYS spoke to a live person. Now, it's past the waiting period time to report a claim. i called over 50 times and i can never get a live person, the prompter tells you to leave a message and i have left 50 messages (ALL DOCUMENTED WITH DATE & TIMES). finally i got an answer the 50th time (EXACTLY) and spoke to someone by the name of "Andrew" (which he hesitated to give me his name - therefore may not be his name). The c.s rep. by the name of "Andrew" stated it is a 30-day waiting period before i can submit a claim. I called and sent an email to claims to report a furnace and ductwork issue (which is covered in the policy) and waited till dec. 21 to report a claim. they stated my policy did not match in their records and the furnace issue may not be covered. I contacted c.s to find out why I received an email stating my policy do not match. "Andrew" placed me on hold to talk with a mgr and told me he did see that payment was made and that they will fix this issue and to allow 24 hours for my claims to be processed and that the furnace and ductwork MAY NOT be covered. to date i have not received am email or call. IN fact, in thire prompts i have called billing, sales and cliams -- CAN NOT GET ANYONE BUT A VOICEMAIL!!!!!!!! I"M LIVID AT THIS POINT!!!!!!!

They have never warranted any of my claims.

A call to customer service always goes to a voicmail which is never answered. If you are lucky to get in touch with them, they don't apologize, and they intead blame it on you.

I have literally called them at least 60 times and left over 35 messages to get one issue resolves, and it wasn't. They simply took my money and run away. I am in the process of filing a small claim in court.

My company was contacted and contracted by Stanley Warranty LLC in August of 2014. We preformed 3 jobs for them during the month of August and to date(Dec 2nd, 2014) have not recieved payment despite numerous requests and invoices.

These people are the scum of the Earth, to be quite honest. They believe themselves to be untouchable and refuse to deal with anyone whenever you present the problem to them. They'll place you on hold or drop the call and claim no knowledge of the events in question. They're rip off artists, liars and cheats.

If anyone wants to go after them, here's the details of where to file your case paperwork:

We got ripped off

We sent our electricians out on a service call for Stanley and have yet to receive payment on work that was preformed.

I purchased a warranty from Stanley Safe Warranty who was a vendor and was authorized by Gold Standard. After purchasing the warranty in Early September a little over two months later, the transmission of my vehicle was failing. Prior to making the claim I called Stanley and taped the conversation, I specifically asked if my vehicle transmission would be covered and if the 250.00 maximum coverage as stated was for pre-existing issues only. The person I spoke to told me it was only if it was pre-existing damage. I made a claim to Stanley via email as told to. The next day I received an email from Gold Standard Automotive Network, that my warranty had been cancelled because Stanley never paid them for the coverage. I called Stanley and they stated they were now doing in house automobile warranties and no longer conducting business with Gold Standard because they took to long to pay claims ( I was never told this, so they took my money and held on to it until I made a claim, instead of paying Gold Standard, embezzlement).

In the mean time my vehicle was taken to a repair shop, which they then ordered me to take it to a second shop for another diagnosis. I ended up paying for the first diagnostic fee and the second the dealership paid for because they could not get a hold of Stanley for payment. I ended up calling the local Police Department on Stanley regarding an embezzlement investigation. I also made several complaints on-line. After approximately 50 emails and over 100 phone calls to Stanley, they told me they would only pay for 250.00 of the repairs, but they hadn't even paid for the two diagnostic fees they said they were going to pay for. I then made a YouTube video exposing what scam artist Stanley was. Stanley Mankovsky called me because he was so furious of the video. He stated he was in California and that he was going to sue me for slander/defamation of character and that he was "Coming to get me" he also stated he has only had "346 measly complaints in the past 3 years." Mr. Mankovsky stated I was trying to Fuck him and stated he knew the Captain of the Englewood Cliffs Police Department and Testified for the Attorney General of New Jersey. This company is corrupt and should be investigated by Law Enforcement. During another audio taped conversation with a sales representative by Stanley, they stated they would sell me a warranty and waive sales tax. Long story shot, I paid over 1800.00 dollars to have my transmission fixed and Stanley still refuses and denies any wrong doing.

I am a service company owner that was contacted on June 3, 2014 to do a service call for one of SSC's customers. My company completed the service call for the customer and she was very satisfied with our work. It took four seperate phone calls to get the authorization for the repair.

After we got the authorization for the repair, we finished the service for the customer and turned in the invoice to SSC. That was on June 18, 2014. We had to fax the invoice a second time on June 25, 2014 because nobody at SSC knew where it was. We have left at least four messages to their billing/accounts payable department, with zero returned calls.

So if you are a service person or company thinking about doing business with this sorry excuse for a warranty company do yourself a favor and decline the job.

In Febuary we were looking at getting new home warranty for our home, we ran across stanley warranty. We got a hold of them and Paid $350 for awhole year to cover just our hot water heater and our central heat and air. Havent filled a claim with them till Sunday October the 12th 2014. We couldnt get anyone one to answer the phone, but was able to comunicate with someone though email. We filed our claim online. Monday morning we geta call from someone named Tervor. After talking with him, he said we will recieve a call from him no later then tuesday morning first thing. Well wouldnt you know it. No call from Trevor. We begin calling him. At thi point he calls us back and threatens us, says that if we dont stop calling, he will make us wait till next week to get or water heater fixed. He finally calls us back again to inform us that someone would eb ot today 10/15/2014 and that we will have to pay $50 deductiable. The plumber get here and determine that we need a new hot water heater. That we would have to pay $800 and then be reimbursed $250 by 11/15/2014. Im our contract is states that they would replace the hot water heater and they are not doing this. After hours of arguring with them, i dont them that my attorney will be in cotact with them. Now they are treating to sue me for telling tem that.. It has been a nightmare with these people. Now we are having to replace our hot water heater out of or own pockets. This company is a fraud and scam. Please do not get caught up with them. They are a bunch of idiots and ave no idea what they are talking about!

In March 2014 I signed up with Stanley home warranty co. In April I had my first service request for a hot water heater. I called the company and after about 30 minutes on the phone I finally got someone to talk to. I request my service for the HWH and they told me someone would contact by email for the service. After a month no one had contacted me so i called Stanley back and after about 30d minutes again I got someone to reinstate the request for service. About 2 weeks later I get a call from a plumber and they came out and did the service but did not fix the problem. I called the plumber back and they came back out and did the service again but again did not fix the problem. After 2 calls back to the plumber I never got another response about the HWH so I went out and bought a new one.

On June 6, 2014 I called Stanley about my HCAC. I got an email back from them needed more information on the HVAC unit so I called them and again after about 30 minutes on the phone finally talked to someone. I gave them the information they asked for and the waiting began. two and a half weeks went by and no call from a service tech. so I called someone up and had them fix it for $225.00. I then wrote Stanley a letter of cancellation of my policy and sent it registered return receipt. I got my notice back that they got the letter. I got a message from Jeff Johnson saying I had to contact him before they could cancel the contract so I called back at least 5 times leaving my name and number for a return call that I never got. After a month I wrote another letter and attached the first one to it and sent it registered return receipt to Jeff Johnson. Again I received my notice that they had received the letter but to this date I have not heard another thing from them.

I was going to go the the BBB but after reading a lot of the request people submitted to the BBB I could see that maybe the BBB was in on this scam. Then I saw this site so I figured I'll give this a shot.

I believe the Stanley Home Warranty co. owes me a refund of some of my money. Since they don't supply the service and don't do what they say they are going to do then they should be put out of business.

I worked there....

DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH BORIS AND NATASHA! His wife is the ring leader of the business, she runs around with a loud mouth and promises everything but delivers nothing. He (Stan) is whipped! Can not tell you how many times I have seen them brake NJ labor laws,Yell at there employees and even take money from them for not selling.

Waiting for the ball to drop and watch these two RUSSIAN HACKS fall!

Stanley Warranty feeds on the implied security of car owners and home owners with a promise that their vehicles and or home appliances will be repaired. Not the case.

We have communicated with the company in an effort to receive a reimbursement for a replaced kitchen appliance. We have received the run around for months.

Save your money and Do Not use these people.

Don't get stanleywarranty they are a ripoff I called told what I had they told me when I had problems call 8 months later heat Went out they sent someone out after 3 weeks. Said compressor was broke need to replace the heat pump . After several weeks they said if I would go in line and read the terms any ac or heat over 10 years old they only give 250 to put for an new one. I said I didn't sign up on line I called on phone. And why did the person selling the warranty tell the terms because she ask me how old the heat and air was I told about 15 years old why did she not tell me that anything over ten years old only got 250. Dollars. She just told me they would fix it or replace. It if couldn't be fixed. If she would have told me that i wouldon't buy the plan. They said I should go online and read they terms. I said I didn't sign up online I called on the phone. She should told me the terms when it broke I called the number and that is when I found out you had report for service on line. They are crooks. big ripoff so don't buy the service.

We had to sue them in Florida court and now have a judgement against these people

we would advise not using them.

They are under investigation by the Florida Attorney Generals Office due to a complaint I filed and will probably be no longer able to offer there services in Florida.

We purchased a home warranty plan, and at the time of purchase were verbally told that all major brands are covered. At the time of sale in Nov 2013, we were told that all major brands are covered and there is no deductible, which is what sets their company apart from others. We are now having an issue with the sensor on our oven, which is preventing certain functionality. We called them for service, but they are saying that our brand, Thermador, is a luxury item similar to SubZero. They are referring to exclusion 3 in their terms, but which explicitly refers only to no Subzero or similar brand refrigerators. They said coverage normally costs $200 more to cover luxury brands, which was never conveyed at the point of sale, nor are luxury brands excluded in their terms except for refrigerators. They then offered to "do me a favor" and include luxury brands as a courtesy, but would need to charge me a $100 service call charge, even though the terms clearly state $0 deductible. They have questionable sales tactics and business practices, and should not be allowed to misrepresent their product and service just to increase sales. They need to be more transparent. These people are as shady as it gets. Stay away

If you have gotten ripped off by these people, reach out to me. I am looking to start a class action lawsuit. I even went straight to the owner, Stan Mankovsky, who absolutely stands by his company's shady practices. Please suggest any good attorneys for this suit if you have one.

Switched to Stanley Warranty because of the lack of co-payments (although the rate was higher).

After my fridge broke, it took forever to get through to them. Eventually I did, and they actually sent a technician who said he needed to get an approval from the company to replace a broken part (thermostat). After about a week of me trying to get to them, I finally got a hold of a phone operator who did me "a favor" and talked to the administrator. (Previously they transferred my call somewhere - probably to that administrator - and the call got ALWAYS disconnected). So the operator said that the administrator said that they will not be honoring the warranty since it was a pre-existing condition. I guess they spoke with my fridge manufacturer (Whirlpool) and he told them that now they ship fridges with pre-broken thermostats.

Beware of these thieves.

After numerous attempts to contact them via phone and email finally the next day I got to speak to a manager. Stanley did not return my phone messages or emails. My air conditioner is not working so after begging and pleading with them, they sent an electrician who could NOT diagnose the problem with the air conditioner. You do not send a dentist to remove your appendices.

The claim went down hill due to their EXTREMELY poor customer service without cooperation or not available to deal with anyone. The calls to the service department after long waits tells you to leave a message that no one will return. However, their sales department surely gets answered right away. Is there something wrong with that picture?

I was able to put the charge on dispute with my credit card and got all my money back. Thay had the nerve to tell me to prorate the amount and give them my hard earned money for no service given by them. My AC has to be fixed and they are not paying for it. Furthermore, I am a disable veteran who needs the air conditioner to be working. I waited close to 72 to get the wrong person in and I did not see them fixing it. It seems that they go in circles with the hope that you will stop calling. Companies like this should not be operating. Is there someone watching them?

They have threaten legal action, but I have a documented quite well and there is an extensive trail of this ordeal I would welcome to be heard in a court of law. What happened is appalling. No person should be subjected to such behavior.

Stanley Warranty stole $600.00 from me .

On 9/13/2013 Ipurchased the home warranty from Stanley Warranty. They immediately charged my credit card. There fore they got their money.

Well on 2/18/2014 my stand alone ice maker sprang a leak. I called on 2/19//2014 to schedule a repair.

I was told that I would get a call to verify taht my repair would or would not be approved.

After a week I had to call them and I was told it was approved.

I have called them 3 times, reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission.

The BBB in New Jersey did not inform me as the web site says. I mailed them to find out what the status was.

I was told Stanley Warranty had not replied to them. The very next day I got an emial from the BBB New Jersey saying my case was closed that Stanley had not responded.

So I filed with the Federal Trade Commission. I have not heard from them either.

These companies are suppose to help the consumer right?

Any way, The friest repair guy that Stanley Warranty sent out did the dignosis and called Stanley Warranty.

I paid him my $75.00 deductible. We had to call him a few times to get him to come back. He only changed the hoses and we could see that it was not leaking from there.

Another few weeks went by. Notihng no contact from either of them. The repair guy comes back and tells us he was approved to do the repair. He came back adjusted the hoses! (GEEEEZZZZ)

Finally my husband calls Stanley Warranty and gets in touch with them. He was told they have no idea who we are and what repair we are talking about! They asked for our information again!

They sent out another repair guy and he wanted my $75.00 deductible. I said , ""Oh no way! I have already paid my deducitble. I am not paying it again"". We had to ask him to leave. I was not paying another deductible.

Still we could not reach Stanley Warranty or the first repair guy.

After another 2 weeks my husband called the first repair guy. Told him if he was approved to fix our ice maker, why isn't it fixed and when will he be back? After 8 days he finally came.

Pulled out the ice maker again, tells me they approved him to fix it he had to order the part. Well he hasn't come back or called.

Here it is today 4/19/2014 and we have not heard from Stanley Warranty or the repair guy!

I am furious, and I am looking at every option I have to get my money back and for Stanley Warranty to pay for my ice maker to be repaired the correct way!

The aggrivation and stress they have caused me over this is adding to my stress level!
