Just mention the AG and the FTC...

Star West / Horizon Products LLC will not take you to court over this small amount. They may send the invoice to a half ass collection agency. They may call but will not go to court over this at all. Just mention the FTC and the AG. They will go away. They fired me over a paycheck dispute. I could not cash mu check and filed a complaint. Also rememver your employee is being gifted to make the purchase at the rip off prices.

I agree

I have refused to pay and told them to take me to court. They had an attorney send me a letter demanding payment and I ignored that too. It's been 9 months and I haven't heard a thing. No attorney is going to take this to court. The judge will laugh them out of the court room.

Star West Labs Scammers

I received a phone call from someone who I assume was a salesman, and he falsely misrepresented himself and the company.

He pretended he knew my place of employment's corporate office in that he said they had authorized the purchase of the product

for my building, and "shmoozed" me about how well I was thought of and doing at my job, etc. He said he was sending the product, even though I told him we dealt with chemicals from another company and had a contract with them.

Then he gave me a spiel about a gift card in my name, and where should it be sent? And also to call him to confirm the delivery of the gift card and the products.

I never specifically asked for these products at any time---

Meanwhile, they were delivered and left in a hallway in my building. As we have had extreme snow fall in our area, and we have had staffing and other weather related challenges, I did not think about this, until I got an invoice in the mail----for $1067.50! I then went out to the hallway, and examined the containers which contained the product sent via this company. I called to complain about the whole issue, alarmed also because the invoice states that they do not accept returns without a written authorization, charge a restocking fee, no returns are accepted after 30 days (and the invoice stated the deliery date as exactly 30 days prior to the current date!) and that there has to be proof of delivery, and late fees will be charged). The woman I spoke to at the company refused to hear me out, kept interjecting that she was not going to pick up items, and that I had ordered them and that she was the only one authorized to do anything, and that I could not talk to anyone else. I wound up hanging up on her. I also emailed co-managers in my company to warn them about this scam, and spoke to someone in our accounts payable department about the scam. Meanwhile, the product sits in the hallway. I am VERY angry about this, since they are deliberately taking advantage of people in this method of "sales", delivery, and pricing. There is NO WAY anyone in their right mind would pay over a thousand dollars for degreaser---we all know there are good, cheaper products out there from reputable companies that we can deal with. Everyone be warned! Do not even take their calls....

An employee of our company agreed to purchase five gallons of degreaser for $46.95. Star West Labs shipped a 5-gallon bucket with an invoice of $299.25 ($234.75 plus 64.50 shipping and handling.) We did not order more.

Star West Labs shipped six additional 5-gallon buckets (30 gallons) for an invoice total of $1,688.00 ($1,408.50 plus $279.50 shipping and handling.) Star West Labs LLC contacted the account payable department and offered a discount. A check for $1600.00 was issued on 17 Decenber 2014 for the six buckets.

After payment was made, Star West Labs shipped two more 5-gallon buckets and another invoice for $569.00 ($469.50 plus $99.50 shipping and handling.)
