StubHub, Inc. Reviews

I recently purchased tickets to an NHL hockey game through stubhub. After paying for the tickets and receiving them through UPS, I was informed by stubhub that they were revoking my tickets because they were double sold. I paid almost $400 for these tickets, and had already received them. The stubhub agent that called me at work a week after I received the tickets told me that they were giving me comparable seats and waiving the sales fee. I was told that these were the only tickets available. They lied. I found out when I got home from work and looked the seats up on the internet that they sold me seats that were in no way comparable to what I had paid for.

I made two attempts to get this problem resolved by stub hub agents, and was told that since i had accepted the bad deal that they gave me, that there was nothing that they could do to fix the problem that they created.

I argued my point very calmly with both agents, who by the way stated that they agreed that I was not being treated fairly, but said that their supervisor would not allow them to change anything other than to waive the sales fees that had been charged. I was told that since stubhub considered my replacemenet tickets to be comparable that I had no option but to accept them.

The agents even agreed with me that the seats that I was given were not of the same value, and were in no way equal to the center ice, second row from the glass seats that I had originally purchased. Yet they insisted that they could not help me, and that I was stuck with what they offered me. I was horribly wronged by stubhub, and I will never use this service again. I did not get what I paid for. Not even close. They were not interested at all in doing the right thing. Be very careful who you buy tickets from on the internet. You may find yourself in a position as I have, where you pay a large amount of money, only to be ripped off by crooked companies like stubhub.

I was buying ten tix for $159 and Scott at Stubhub told me "somehow" I ended that buying session and entered another to pay $1146 each instead for the same level tix (GA). Notified them immediately there was a problem (they send an email right away with the tix attached). They said they would look into it. Still fighting the $11,460 charge on my credit card after more than a month? I wouldn't give them credit card info until the deal was done if I were you.

I contacted Stub hub about 4 OU vs Texas Tickets for Saturday, October 11, 2014 that I needed to sell. They instructed me to take the tickets to the LMS station in Dallas. I was told to download the app and I could watch the tickets and adjust the price to make sure they sold. I started the tickets high and began to lower the price. I had 2 other tickets for the same game that had sold on Stub Hub right away. It was getting closer and closer to the game time and I finally went and looked at the site and the ORIGINAL high price was all that was showing up. I called stub hub right away and spoke with Dewayne Bodenheimer and he checked their website and agreed that it was their website that was malfunctioning and was not reflecting the correct price of my tickets and he could not get the price to change. He offered me $100 credit on Stub Hub and to wave the fees on my next listing. I declined and told him to have a supervisor call me. She did at 8 pm that night. The game was at 11 am. She told me the same thing only she offered me $200 credit. The tickets were in their possession in Dallas upon their request & I was in Plano. Their webpage malfunctioned and they would not take responsibility! I could have sold those tickets for $200 a piece at the game. My request is that they take responsibility for their malfunctioning web site and give me the face value of my tickets. They would not honor my request. Very Very Poor Business Ethics! Their reasoning was because they did not own the tickets and they were just a secondary ticket market place. Well they sure held my tickets hostage at their LMS ticket office! My tickets were clearly in their possession. I listed the tickets with with what was supposed to be a fully functional web site reflecting my price. Clearly it was not functioning correctly that day! These people make money off of other people's tickets every day but when it's time for them to take responsibility for their malfunctioning website they stink! I got nothing but scripted answers from both employees.
