Sugar Hill Auto Service Center Reviews

  • Sep 19, 2014

Friday August 15, 2014, 4:12pm, Westbound I84, between exit 9 and 10 went over a pot hole broke my axle.

Called AAA got towed but Sugar Hill Towing and was I waiting for an Adjuster to appraise the damages. Got a claim number and called Monday around 11:00am. Rob, the owner of the place to give the claim number. Got a phone call on Thursday , August 21, 2014 from Rob that the car will be ready on Friday August 22, 2014 and to pick it up before 4:00pm.

Got the key in my hand and was ready to leave the place after I wrote a check for $250 the deductible for comprehensive which was really $500 on my insurance but Rob told me not to worry about that!

Last minute phone Friday, August 22, 2014 3:45pm phone call from Rob to Maria the claim Manager that decided that this is a collision not a comprehensive and because my insurance did not included collision the claim was going to be declined. Rob was informed about a negative pending decision. The car is a Scion TC 2007 (Toyota) with 182,000 miles.

Monday August Morning August 28, 2014 around 11:45am Maria phoned Rob that the claim was declined. So I decided to pay for the damages which were appraised for $2000; but Rob decided that the amount was wrong and to bring it to $4200. Since August 15 I am spending $250 per week for rental. I did try to have an Attorney negociating for me but Rob did not budge. I went in personnel to make an ultimate offer on September 18, 2014 but again Rob refused it. Now Rob sent me a letter stipulating that storage fees were starting. The Sugar Hill Body Shop had no right to fix the car without anybody consent; but decided to fix anyway! my car is exposed to rain and whatever will come. I was not authorized to pick-up my personal things inside the car.
