I purchased on March 10, 2014, two "Hawaii Specials" from Sun Laboratories. Each "Hawaii Special" included self tanning lotions, makeup and eyelashes and with the packet came two airline round trip tickets for a cost of $199 ($214 with taxes). Invoice Number 17194 and 17193 from sales representative Jennifer Franson ([email protected]). I communicated via email with her and asked her specifically "Are there any restrictions on the tickets?" She said there weren't! The airline vouchers were simple paper certificates that had to be mailed in at least 60 days before travel. So I just mailed them in since we were planning on traveling in September.

When I got the voucher from the travel agency back, it said we had to mail that back in with an additional $99 fee and in the fine print it also stated that the flight vouchers were only good if we would book them through the travel agency with at least 7 nights at their hotels! None of that information was disclosed to me during the emails or when I made the call to finalize the purchase. I called the service rep immediately but she was out of town. I got another service rep on the phone (she refused to give me her name) who was incredibly rude to me, told me to "shut my mouth," refused to transfer me to a supervisor, refused to give me her name. When I said I would just hang up and call again to get someone else, she said, "Too bad, you're just gonna get me again." And when I repeatedly asked to speak to a supervisor she once again told me "I can't believe your mouth is still running." I finally spoke to supposedly her supervisor Gil. I told him how I was treated and he acknowledged it. I then told him that I felt lied to and cheated into purchasing their products without the full disclosure about the restrictions on the flight vouchers. He apologized saying that she definitely should have informed me about this and Jennifer was one of their best sales agents and would never miss to disclose such important information and asked what he could do.

I told him I already used the makeup and I really liked it. He offered that I could return everything at a full refund. So I asked if there was anything we could work out since I liked the makeup and maybe there was a way to waive the $99 fee and the restrictions on the hotels. He said he was going to talk to the owner of the company and give me a call back. That was 7/11/14.

Today 7/15/11 I received a call from Jennifer, who got my voicemail. She stated that she didn't have to tell me anything about the restrictions and made no apologies whatsoever for having deceptive business practices. She then proceeded to say that she just wanted to make sure I was satisfied and that she gave me all the information. I replied that I felt deceived and that even after I asked about restrictions she clearly did not give me all the information! I asked to be transferred to Gil again as he never called me back. Then Gil precedes to tell me that the owner is out of the office and won't be back until tomorrow. He then denies that he ever offered me a full refund and said that that's ridiculous and nobody in their right mind would offer a full refund on used products.

He also asked why I waited so long to complain. When I said that just now I had use for the travel vouchers, so just now was it when I found out that I had been deceived, he then said, nobody before had ever any problems with this information not being disclosed! So that was twice now that he contradicted his own words. I then asked that the owner of the company should give me a call back tomorrow, to which he replied that the owner is too busy to answer calls and I should maybe talkt to Anna tomorrow (when she was back in the office!). I asked, why Anna. Turns out she is the sales supervising manager and Gil turns out to be the accountant of the company! I will call again tomorrow to speak to Anna or hopefully the owner of the company but these deceptive business practices need to be known!
