Superior Rental is a complete ripoff! A friend of mine rented from there and did a lot for that landlord and got ripped off in the end completely! He was a very good tenant, if not the best she has had! He went above and beyond to not only help her, but also helped other tenants!
He was a tenant there for 3 years. He paid his rent on time every month, and also paid his large deposit.
During the time he lived there, he mowed the property-including other tenants property, he shoveled the snow during the winter months for the entire property-including for other tenants, and would also help with simple maintenance for himself and other tenants, would also go out of the way to help with checking the mail for elderly and disabled tenants.
When he decided to move, he gave his notice. He also hired a cleaning crew to come in and clean and make sure the apartment was in good condition for the next tenant. He replaced mini blinds, and even changed the drip pans on the stove, not only to be helpful, but with the intentions that he may get his deposit back. He only saw a small portion of the deposit.
The landlord had someone else do a walk thru of the apt after everything was complete. The accountant then did some figuring on her own and charged him a horrendous amount for things they felt needed to be deducted off his deposit.
The drip pans he replaced, which cost him 10 dollars at Walmart, he was deducted 28 dollars off his deposit! He also changed out mini blinds that needed to be which cost 5 Dollars a piece at Walmart, he was deducted 30 dollars off his deposit! Things that he replaced, got deducted off his deposit that he was supposed to get back! And why the crazy price on these items?? He replaced them!!!
When he FINALLY got a small portion of the deposit back, he tried contacting the landlord and accountant almost on a daily basis...landlord doesn't answer and neither does the accountant!! Can you say embezzlement? That is completely unprofessional!!
My suggestion to anyone looking to rent a property from these people is simple...DON'T!!!
