Brown frequently was untruthful or withheld things that I needed to know so that I would keep the money coming. Instructed me to not pay child support, but to pay her instead, and this hurt the outcome of the case. My mistake was paying her faithfully because this resulted in even less performance.
I often felt that I was dealing with someone shady...example, Brown demanded $1,000.00 cash to be paid in an envelope at Starbucks parking lot...in return, she promised a week in my home with my son...didn't happen...but she did take her own family for a holiday cruise. Told me she had impeached a horrible GAL then he suddenly turned up at hearing...with no explanation.
Early on Brown demanded a financial statement for "settlement purposes." Turns out that she went after, and got, every penny I had and every penny I could borrow...then dumped me at worst possible time. She is abusive to her staff and her behavior seems erratic and scary to me. I would be hard pressed to name one thing she accomplished for me or one instance when she was proactive, honest, and effective. She cost me my son.
Brown attempted to extort money from me by threatening to publish the guardian's report to the court (Brown and guardian Judge Stephen Ott are pals).
