I ordered a pair of Swanx shoes from their website in April 2013. I'd been checking the site for months, waiting until I had the money to order the shoes I'd fallen in love with after an agonizing decision on their many choices. When I saw they had shoes on sale, I made my order and they gladly took my $125 for the painted clogs.
An individual at Swanx told me it would be 6 to 8 weeks for my shoes to be ready. I wanted them by summer because I'd ordered the ladybug design, thinking it would be perfect with summer dresses. My left ankle is artifical so I have problems with that foot. I'd had a pair of Dansko shoes before an injury made it impossible to wear them. The swelling in my foot and ankle had finally subsided enough that I could wear the shoes again, but I'd given them away, which is why I wanted the Swanx shoes.
Months later, I emailed the company and received a return email that they were behind in orders but my shoes would be ready soon. January 2014. I sent another email stating I wanted my money back because I had received nothing from the company and was tired of waiting. I said if they could get shoes ready to sell for all the holidays up till then, I should have had mine.
In searching the web one day, I came across a site with complaints just like mine about Swanx. What a shock to see how many women were being ripped off by this company!
I sent another email, this time threatening to report them and try to get a class action suit started. In their rreturn email, the answer was basically do what you have to do and here's the address of our lawyer. Then I got a computer virus that was so bad, it had to be reset to original. I lost so much information. I purchased a new computer but couldn't reinstate much of my information. My emails to Swanx were gone.
Here it is a year later and I still have no shoes and no refund. When I decided to go to the site, I found very little was left on it. It appeared they were going out of business - if they were in business at all.
I'd like to get a class action suit going against these people, but I don't know how to do it.
