My grandmother passed away sept. 17th of 2014, her last wishes were for me to be happy and fufill dreams I have had since a little girl. One of those dreams as it may sound silly but was to have a sweet tiny maltese (and when I say tiny I mean the kind of tiny you shell out over 7,000 for). This puppy was to be something to remind me of my grandma that I could bring everywhere with me since she would be small enough. Dealing with my grandmothers death has been very traumatic for me and when I called tea cup puppy store and spoke with the represenitive Patricia I explained this to her that I only wanted a puppy that would stay extremely small meaning 3 pounds Becasue it was to be a companion dog for me.All was well and my hopes were high after I shelled out all this cash to the tea cup puppy store expecting my dream dog to arrive and also something to cheer me up and take my mind off the trauma going on in my life.
Well from the moment I received coco from the airport she was ill. She came to me with what started off as just a cough and progressed to get worse and needing several trips to the vet until finally one afternoon I noticed coco barely able to breath it was awful. I quickly in a panic raced to the vets office where the took lifeless coco right away in an emergency situation. Coco needed oxygen and was so ill the vet could not assure she would live. Now I was dealing with not only the loss of my grandmother whom was as close as a mother to me but the puppy I bought in her memory. It was also a very traumatic situation for me and my family. Coco stayed at the vet hospital for a week which meant sleepless nights for me. She had pneumonia in her lungs so bad that she was close to death. This is how coco came to me. These puppy's are not being taken care of properly or handled properly if they are being shipped to clients with health problems and almost dying.
Now that is the first half of it. The second part of this situation is the dog they sent me and I discussed with Patricia on our several phone conversations was to be full grown no larger than 3 pounds esp. With a price tag that large. I tell you If the dog was maybe 4 pounds or so I would of been okay with that, maybe still slightly disappointed. Coco is now not even a year old and already over 6 pounds. If I wanted a dog that was going to be 6,7 or 8 pounds I could of easily found one close to home, but that is not the case. I paid the tea cup puppy store money from my grandmother with the hopes to fufill one of my dreams I had as a little girl, and also to have a small companion dog to go with me wveywhere to help cope with the extreme loss and heartbreak. I spoke with angel another representative at tea cup puppy store about these issues. Angel told me to call her when coco was 6 months old and let her know cocos weight and that she still guarenteed she would not grow to be any bigger. She also stated that if this by chance happened there would be a refund issued.
Well I called back at the 6 month mark left a message for angel and of course no return call not even to check in with me a client whom payed out a lot of money for one of their puppies. I again waited a little longer to try back again only to leave 5 more messages always being told "angel isn't here right now" "angel is on lunch" "angel left already". I was promised a call back every time. I spoke with Patricia on one of my attempts the sales rep. Who sold me coco whom then was named "mystical" Patricia assured me that angel would call me back and that she would see to it. I was lied to by every person I spoke too.
This place is what I would call a puppy mill they hurry up and make the puppies sound and look like a dream come true but in reality no one cares that much about these innocent pups. All they care about it the big amounts of money coming in. If I could go back I time I tell you I would save myself the grief and sadness and just only buy from people you can trust. Do a lot of research, I would have listened to the reviews others were reading instead of looking passed them thinking they were nonsense. These reviews about this puppy mill (tea cup puppy store) are not lies or made up it is the truth, they are big fat liars and dream crushers. My advice is do not even consider buying from them they are uncaring unprofessional people.
