We purchased a Tahoe from Ted Russell Ford in 2012. At that time we also selected Gap insurance which we were charged $549.00 for. October 2014 we traded that vehicle in on a new car. We contacted Josh at Ted Russell and he told us to give him all the information that we had already faxed in 30 days prior. We resent the information and now he is telling us that they have no proof of us having GAP insurance. The problem with this statement is that the refax I sent had the actual sales terms as well as a separate form just for the Gap Addendum that was signed at time of purchase by myself and the finance manager. As I was getting angry on the phone, he said "I will not be talked to this way, I dont even let my wife talk to me this way." Ok, 1-I feel terribly sorry for his wife assuming he does have one and then 2-I asked to speak with the GM of the business. He proceeded to tell me the GM was his father-in-law and we could not speak with him either.
We will have to obtain an attorney to receive the refund owed to us. I understand this is not a lot of money, but the fact of the matter is when you owe someone, you owe them. Do yourself a favor and DO NO DO BUSINESS at this establishment.
