This is a very expensive service and I excected a professional organization. They go through great lengths to have you fill out numerous profile questions about yourself and the EXACT type of person you want to meet and the absolute top requirements. They also take your photo which I would assume is used in the profile provided to your match. I was told about "quite a few" woman fitting my requirements were available. Later I found out they do not provide photos or a physical description of your "match" even though all online services provide these. I met my first "match???" about 5 days later. She met NONE of my main requirements and I was pretty upset about that. (I specifically listed fit and healthy). The "match" was 50 lbs overweight and hardly healthy. Then they sent another total mismatch and by then I asked them if they even read the profile forms I filled out? All I got was a bunch of mumbles about "this is a process" of getting feedback from me. Why bother to give me pages of forms to fill out describing my top requirements and not using them??

Then I got nothing for 3 weeks. I guess all the women they told me about when I signed up disappeared. I stopped payment on the remaining 3 payments I owed them. Got a call that the payment didn't go through and why not. I told them how upset I was that I had paid for 2 lunches for women I should never been sent. I got the same "It's a process" BS that they provide dates and I have to tell them what I liked or didn't like. My response was that the only "process" was ripping me off for $1000 and if they wanted they could sue me for the balance.

My advice is you are much safer, and get more for your money with many of the available internet sites. At least you get a photo and a description of the person up front. I still don't know why they took my picture if they had no intention of using it to let someone see what I looked like. I think they just send you people as they sign them up regardless if they fit your requirements.

Someone needs to file a class action suit against this company judging from all the similar reports I've read in this column.

Thieves and Crooks

If I could I would give the thieves at Texas Singles ZERO stars! They use manipulation and high pressure sales techniques to wear you down. At the end of the interview, the "relationship specialist", aka sales rep, literally snatched my credit card out of my hand when I was not about to give it to her and charged an outrageous $9,995 to my card. My attorney said this constitutes an assault and I have filed a police report accordingly. Additionally, my attorney says that the unbelievable pressure they put on me to sign has made the contract void based on Civil Code paragraph 1689(b) No real consent. These people have no scruples and have been very threatening since I have said I was canceling and informed them that I have filed a dispute of the charge with my credit card company. They said in effect that their attorney will fight me and they threatened that I only have a 50:50 chance of getting my money back. I have filed a complaint against Texas Singles with the Federal Trade Commission and I will be filing more complaints with the Texas State Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. It is important to note that the only BBB complaints "resolved" with Texas Singles are ones in which they have convinced the complainant to keep their service. These people will tell you they are Christians, but it is just part of the manipulation. I have nothing good to say about them.

Texas Singles Texas Singles is a SCAM!!!!!! I gv them 200 down, & they fraudulantly advised me that I would get matches; Debra stated they hv lots of people in their database that are within my requirements/requests. It's been about 2months; & I have not recieved any matches. They sent me 1 profile of someone that was not my requested height. I clearly stated that height requirement was a non-negotiable. So thie one & only profile was for a guy who was 5ft 8. My non-negotiable height range was 5ft 10 or taller!!!! I sent a feedback email per their request; reminding them of this. I called Denise, & She told me that this was a test date, to see how I date. This made no sense to me; & I told her. She literally begged me to go out with this guy; sayn would I just do this favor for her. I refused, telling her that I am paying her to find me a match 2014-04-18was stated previously of 5ft 10 or higher. She then layed on the guilt trip stating how excited the guy was. I told her, it's unfortunate, but I wasnt happy about it. I told her if a practice date was needed, I would like to hv my requested height, bcuz I am a tall female. She then lashed out stating, that we are all going to shrink anyways. She then started avoiding all of my phone calls, which was her cell phone, I called the business; & explained what happened to a lady named Amy. She kept stating that I need to hv patience. I asked her do they not hv any tall men in their group for me to ""practice' dating with. I asked her again, did they not hv tall men. She stated, well that's the problem; That she couldnt believe that there are so many short men in Texas. I will fight to get my money back from these theives. I will also report them to the police. Last thing, I will call the news stations to alert other people. God Bless those who were fraud victims of Texas Singles. Let's let it be known so others are not taken in. San Antonio Texas

My uncle who has a brain disease signed up for this dating service. They took his money even though he did not understand the cost. He was unable to fill out the paperwork or computer exam but they still took his money. I contacted them and explained his situation and asked for a refund. I also took the power of attorney ppwk to them. They refused to return my calls after that. My uncle paid $5k for this SCAM!! Do not work with this company who has no integrity or values. They will take money from anyone and screw you.

Liars and Thieves

I signed up for four introductions. I'm considered very attractive (worked as a professional male model), very fit, successful, college educated, charming (I'm presently a successful salesman), and, by most any woman's opinion, a "great catch". Because of this, I can afford to be picky. " Quality, professional, women" was what I was promised, based upon my "personality and preferences".

This is what I got...

A week later. Email with name and brief description and phone number. I call her. We had a nice chat that lasted about half hour. When I told her that I wanted to meet, she told me she couldn't because she already had a boyfriend and hung up on me. I notified Texas Singles and was told that they would speak to her. Two days later, was only told that they would find another.

Two months later, I received another referral. We spoke and agreed to meet. When she showed up (half a hour late), I saw that she 5'2" tall (my minimum was 5'6"), grossly overweight, and wore enough makeup to put a circus clown to shame. We had absolutely nothing in common. I was polite, but the meeting was brief.

I sent an email to Texas Singles asking if that they had even bothered to read my preference and deal breaker list. Their response was "we'll work on finding someone more compatible".

That was almost a year ago. Since then, I have contacted them about ten times through email and phone. They kept promising results but nothing happened. The last two times I contacted them, I got no response at all.

I will be consulting an attorney to see what my options are, if any.
