Texas Truck Sales Reviews

October 2013 I purchased a 2005 F-350 from this dealership. I was very hesitant due to the stories I've heard from others. I liked the truck so much, I decided to go out on a limb. The day after I purchased the truck, I noticed the battery light kept blinking. They agreed to take care of the issue. I was told by Mike (owner) that it was "good to go." As soon as I drove off the lot, the light began to blink again. The truck was taken in 4 times for them to change out the alternator. Mike's original diagnosis was it had a loose wire.

Fast forward three weeks: The truck would hardly steer and would go into a "death wobble." A death wobble feels like you just had a blowout and and is in a violent shake. I asked Mike if they would assist with the repairs and of course the answer was "No." After spending $1600 on steer rods and ball joints, the steering was improved and the death wobble was gone.

Fast forward another 4 weeks: the engine would lose power and would blow white smoke. I took it in for an estimate and the price quoted was to replace the turbo and a rear exhaust release sensor. Again, I asked Mike for help but to no avail. He recommended a mechanic he uses in Alvin, TX. Even the mechanic mentioned how shady this place was and the truck should not have been sold in this condition.

There have been multiple, smaller items I also took care of: shocks, A/C went out, replaced A/C compressor, replaced belt, replaced vacuum line, along with renting a vehicle while repairs were made. I've spent more on repairs and rentals than I did on the actual payments. This truck can not be trusted transporting my family around.

After a year of pure hell in this truck, it was time to renew the registration. After giving the info to the representative, I was told the truck does not belong to me. I was asked to go outside and verify the VIN on the truck. The VIN # on the contract and what the insurance company had, was different than the truck's VIN. When I was still in the "shopping" process, they provided a Carfax for the vehicle. The only problem is, the VIN on the Carfax matched the paperwork which means it was different than the VIN on the truck. Now I think to myself, what's the real history behind this truck.

Too many stories and bad experiences for this place to still be in business.

I'm mad at myself for ignoring the signs.

I'm mad at Texas Truck Sales for their deceptive trade practices and stiffing consumers with repairs after the sale.

I flew 900 miles to Dickinson,TX to buy a 1999 Ford F-350 7.3. I spoke to them several times by the phone and was told over and over how great the truck was. I spent over $500 getting me and my son there. After getting there and test driving the truck, I realized there were some issues with the truck. I was in a pickle, being down $500 and 900 miles from home. They knocked $300 off the price and I went ahead and bought the truck.

I stopped at a friends shop on the way home and spent over $1800 but the truck is still not right and I'll probably end up replacing the engine. They were very deceptive and badly misrepresented the truck I guess they knew they had me after travelling that far. They're either very stupid and have no knowledge of automobiles or they know exactly what they're selling and are just plain crooks. BEWARE!!! Don't buy anything from these people.
