I was lured into trying this companys advertised "discount merchants "services for FREE for 30 days and for doing so would obtain 2 $25 rebates on basketball tickets I had just purchased online.
I was assured if I cancelled before my 30 free trial ended I would not be charged. I never received the rebate. I called to cancel after 2 weeks realizing I had been duped. They begged me not to cancel siting again my rebate was on the way , it was during the holidays .
Another week went by and no rebate so I called again to cancel. They tried to give me the runaround and I firmly said I wish to cancel immediately and do not wish to hear your sales pitch again. I have not and will not use your services. I was told it would be cancelled and given a confirmation number. Unfortunaley I wrote it down on a scap piece of paper I cannot find. I do have phone records though showing I called twice.
A few weeks later I get my credit card statement and it shows a charge from TGL shopper AKA GREAT FUN!!! Now I am trying to dispute with my credit card company but TGL refuses to credit them back saying the membership fee is non refundable. That was not what i was told nor what was advertised. Clearly a SCAM!!!!
