Ripoff

I can't believe they are still scamming and literally getting away with it. Overcharging with no refunds even when you are forced to leave after 3 days. This is misleading and abusive. Don't waste your time and $$.They need to be shut down! Owners are thieves.

The Airline Acadamey is a scam! First they will send a recruiter to your home to" evaluate" you and make sure you are good candidate for their school but what they are really doing is seeing how much money they can squeeze out of you. Second once they" approve you" (which they approve everybody because all the people in the company see are dollar signs) they will send you the Distance learning portion of the training. The distance potion covers almost nothing that was learned in class. After you completed the 12 lessons of distance learning you are required to go to Daytona Beach for the" resident training". Total cost was about 10,000 for me for the class. That in it self is a problem. Other students that I have talked to some paid 4,000 some paid 8,000 and so on and so fourth. That just shows how greedy the owner and his wife are. They send recruiters into your home to see how much money they can get from you! Next, there are 4 weeks of classroom learning which are held at the Daytona Beach Airport. Me and all my other classmates were there for" flight attendant" training. We all know you do not need tis school to get a job as a flight attendant but We all thought it would help to have some knowledge behind us. The material we were taught was pretty much only on how to work the" sabre" computer system, how to read tickets, and that was pretty much it! The only thing we learned about being a flight attendant was how to dress. The teaching staff is unbelievably rude ad unprofessional. Ms Maria made students feel like carp. She THREATENED her students every day that if they were late, talked bad about the company,or that she pretty much didn't like the student then they would be put on a "black list" (which is false of course) and they could never get jobs in the airline industry. Second, the teachers are not even certified teachers. They don't have anything more then a instructor certificate which anyone can get. Maria has no experience in the aviation industry as she was never a flight attendant! All this school does is kills people's hopes and give them negative energy. I attended that school and am now a flight attendant for Republic airlines. All of my instructors at my airline said they can Not believe I attended that school and wasted all that time and money. Nothing that they teach you at school helped me with my actual flight attendant training that I had to go through a few months ago with my airline. You will not learn PA announcements, how to deal with different types of passengers, how to do meal and beverage service, how to preform CPR again nothing relating how to be a flight attendant is conducted at that school. That school is a complete joke filled with unprofessional people and care nothing about you.

The sun and surf motel is where student housing is held. It is claimed not to be owned by the owner of the Airline Acadamey and the owner of the Airline Acadamey says they rent the property. This is false. You can look up on public records who actually owns the hotel and low and behold It is the owner of the Airline Acadamey who owns that hotel. They claim to students they don't own it so they are responsible for maintaining it. The hotel is disgusting! Bugs in the shower every morning, the foundation of the building is falling apart, the roof leaks and there are so many fire hazards it's ridiculous! Obviously the people are paying the health inspector off because if they weren't then this place would be out of business in a heart beat. I'm conclusion save your time, money, and energy and by all means do not attend this school or hotel!
