The Appliance Shoppe Inc. Reviews

These people are crooks! If I could rate this business zero stars, I would. My experience with these people was bizarre and extremely frustrating. I was desperate for a fridge so even though the cheapest one they had was extremely overpriced for the condition it was in, I bought it. When I walked in the store there was a young overweight boy with no shirt on and his belly hanging over his pants. Behind him was a small child lying on a blanket on the concrete floor with no shoes on and across the shop there was a teenage girl with barely any clothes on sitting on top of one of the washing machines. They all stared at me awkwardly, it was like walking into the twilight zone, very bizarre. They advertise free delivery and disposal of your old appliance, however I was somehow charged thirty dollars for the delivery. This was the least if my problems. When the kid delivered my fridge (Luckily he decided to put a shirt on for this) he tore a hole in the floor of my apartment kitchen while moving the old one out. He acted like he had no idea what was going on when I pointed it out. He reluctantly called his mom, who runs the shop and it sounded like she was trying to get him to try and get out of dealing with it. Finally I spoke with her and she said she would have to talk to her manager to see what they could do. (The "manager" i came to find out is her sleeze bag husband) A week later I called after not hearing from them and I spoke with the owner, Wayne... Now comes the fun part. Before I could get a word in, and without him even seeing the floor, he exclaimed they were not liable for any damage and it was the fridge's fault for the vinyl floor being ripped! After arguing for a few minutes he agreed to come look at the floor. When he showed up at my door I knew this was not going to be an easy transaction. Despite his insanely creepy appearance it was his horrible demeanor and overall attitude about the whole situation that was so frustrating. He argued and argued until I was able to talk some sense into him that it was his responsibility to fix the floor. But it didn't end there. It literally took a year of him dodging my calls and making excuses to finally fix the floor. And of course, he used the cheapest flooring company possible so it doesn't match the rest of the flooring. They also spray painted the rack in my freezer so paint chips started falling into my ice and food! Which also took months to get replaced by them. Oh well. Lesson learned I would highly recommend avoiding any interactions with these people at all!
